The fact that WE readers read a lot. We’re smart enough to know who’s saying what !!!!!

The theme and content were excellent !! What becomes irritating is that after every other dialog between the characters is “Babe said”, “Carter said”, “Rosie said”, “Hootie said” …. Damn if that is frustrating to listen to throughout the entire book !!!! I think Ced did a decent job reading. My problem with the book and HOW it’s read makes it hard to finish.

Suggestion: Try mixing it up when the characters are making interchangeable dialog… i.e. Babe said “blah blah blah…” rather than “blah blah blah blah blah” Babe said. blah blah blah blah blah” Carter said. blah blah blah blah blah” Babe said ….. Good Grief …. Enuf already !!!!

Why did Babe bet the deed!! Not the deed. I’m still shaken up. Lol. This was excellent!! It was great that Mr. Entertainer himself read the book. I loved it. Thank you for the entertainment!! This book was beautifully written.

Fantastic!!

This is one of my favorite books of all times. I have read it several times, its such a great and compelling story, cedric leaves us wanting for more and i continue to search.. This is a great book for a road trip. I drove from CA to washington and was embedded in this book the entire time...

Excellent story

I loved the story but it was hard to follow Ced’s narration b/c his voice was the same for almost every character. For the next one, work on voice changes to make the narration easier to follow. ID LOVE TO SEE THIS AS A MOVIE on streaming.

Kept me on the edge of my seat

This was a great story, exciting and full of adventure! It ended with a cliffhanger, so I hope there will be a sequel.

Boxcars

Cedric did an exceptional job with this book. Mixing facts and fiction was great. Just goes to show that you may have not personally know part of the village but thru stories and family the village never dies. Good luck in all you do Cedric and definitely keep writing books and narrating.

Excellent Work!

Cedric Kyles is not just a gifted comedian and entertainer, but a talented writer as well. Who knew?! Even though the fictional story is based on a beloved family member, I hope that he finds other stories to tell. This was enjoyable from start to finish and his narration made it a wonderful treat.

The way the story pulled me in.

This book grabbed me from the first chapter. The characters were so well written, and the theme so compelling that it was hard to put the book down. Cannot wait until the next book Cedric!!

Realistic imaginative story

This story grabbed me from beginning to end. A story of hustle, love and family in a time when people of color struggled to survive. But made bonds and enjoyed one another. I’m would love to see this as a series or movie. Until then I hope there is a part 2!
