When you think you can’t love this man any more…his honesty is awesome! Loved listening to his humble rise to fame!

Sometimes he spoke so fast I had to rewind to be sure I understood what he’d said! But still loved his beautiful Bass voice & wish he could’ve sung some of his songs, even a portion of them! Would’ve loved a discography of all his songs! Living in SC in past 25 years I’ve loved hearing them on radio, Amazon Music etc but never saw him in person which I hope I can do someday! I just hope he keeps on singing somewhere!🥰

Transparency of Soul

I loved how I recognized a trait that I didn’t know was a good thing. When Darius is describing how he listens to music and something grabs him and he wants to listen to it the same song over and over and over and feel it within him. I knew there was a kindred soul.

True emotions, true thoughts, true story

I found myself all into his voice, the words, and his and my emotions during his reading. I had tickets to see Hootie and the Blowfish last week but thanks to Mother Nature in DFW and I ate my tickets because we could not attend. So, I got this book. In total this book cost me $179 but hey, it was worth it.

ALWAYS MUSIC

I did not want it to end! I have loved Darius for so long, now I feel like I know him. He tells his stories so well you feel like you’re there in every chapter. I could picture everything happening in his family living room when he was a child. His stories grab you and take you away. It’s a true story of amazing adventures that seem like they should be fiction. It has it all, family, love, friendship, tragedy, loss, excess, racism, loyalty, betrayal, addiction, dysfunction and music. Always MUSIC. I will read it again while I wait for the movie, starring Darius of course.
