Hilarious Situations and Silly Names

Just as random and delightful as the previous books. Truly hilarious moments about the game of cricket, mattresses, reincarnation, fooling gravity, and alphabetical insults. My personal favorite book in the series. Martin Freeman is spectacular.

SO many laughs

I love this series in total and I LOVE this book in particular!! Pretty much everything about it is hilarious.
I miss Douglas Adams :-(

Martin Freeman is simply amazing!

Add a life long fan of the Hitchhiker's series, Martin Freeman is just phenomenal at reading these and I can't recommend these enough!

Brilliant, Just a Half Step Behind First Two

If you've made it as far as book three, no doubt you're a fan of Douglas Adams's delightful world, characters, and humor. If that is the case, you will love this installment as well. The movement of the plot and the interaction between the characters feels just a tad more sluggish here than in the first two installments, but the lasting impression is of the same wacky brilliance that we've come to know and love.

Life, the Universe, and Everything makes you think so outlandishly about the universe that you'll be inclined to just hang the sense of it and keep yourself busy. This is a worthy installment in a genius series, but a bit shy of being the best.

On the audiobook production: Freeman continues to impress with his range of character voices. He's a star.

Martin Freeman rocks!

I love listening to Martin Freeman narrate these books. He was Arthur Dent in the film and did a great job, so it’s like listening to Arthur Dent read the series to you. It’s excellent!

The last of the Brilliant trilogy.

This closes out the trilogy in brilliant manner, without feeling like it’s milking the prior work.

Slightly Altered Reading

Douglas Adams’ original is an undeniable and classic masterpiece—sharp, funny, and endlessly imaginative. Unfortunately, the audiobook’s narrator takes liberties frequently switching up words and phrases. The changes are mostly subtle, but if you prefer a faithful reading, you might be better off picking up a physical copy somewhere. If you don’t have the time, then this will do. 4/5 stars overall.
