Set three years after A Clash of Fates, the first novella in the Verda universe begins here, with Asher and his intrepid dragon, Avandriell.
A new world is beginning to take shape in the aftermath of The Fated War, a world that must be brought together if it is to survive. The world's greatest monster requires the world's greatest hunters. Between them, Asher and Avandriell possess the skills required to face an ancient beast that has long prevented mutual prosperity between Illian and Erador. If the two realms of man are to secure everlasting peace, this creature of antiquity, this Leviathan, must finally be vanquished.

Bittersweet
I’ve read the entire series several times and been waiting on this addition, was caught off guard by how emotional the series made me as I realized it was a bitter sweet ending. Great story all together and couldn’t change anything a single thing to make it any better.

Happy ending
The closure to the echos saga was perfect. Really enjoyed the battle, but more so the closure of the story.

Great to catch up with an old friend!
I originally read this book and I struggled with it. The frantic battle was too much for me to get into while reading. Listing was very enjoyable. I forget I think it was Steven Brand reading and I was into it hook line and sinker. I sometimes skip Novellas but this one was well worth the credit used.

Is this truly the end of Ashers tale?
What a wonderful short epic adventure! There's danger, unlikely friendships, glorious conclusions, and...consequences. I take this book as the cherry on top of the most wonderful sundae of fantasy I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Thank you PCQ for creating such a huge part of my life. The things I've learned about myself through the characters in your books has literally made me more conscious of my actions and place in the world. I couldn't love this story any more than I do right now. Again THANK YOU.

outstanding story
This was the best of the ehco saga books, to here of all the favorite characters we've come love was outstanding. It gave the saga the best ending ever.
