Swoon to the max!!!

Oh man! Brandon Sterling and Skylar Crosby have got e VERY complicated relationship. He goes from just wanting sex to wanting it all! She learns about his past, and he learns more about hers than she had wanted him to learn. He really does sweep in like a knight in shining armor. There were most definitely some twists in the story. Some drama that I did not see coming. And of coarse there was a part that made me cry.... actually it was more like a couple parts that made me cry. The ending was a huge cliffhanger that I should have seen coming, but there was so much going on that it totally blind sided me! So now I am eager to get into the second book so I can see how this most recent drama plays out!!!

April 2023 Update for Audio Review:

I love Brandon and Skyler's story! The only thing I wish was that there was more from Brandon's POV (which is nonexistent in this book) but their story is so angsty and epic that I love them and could read and listen to it many times!!!

Narrator was excellent.

OMG, this book was absolutely wonderfully frustrating. I was pulled back-and-forth between both main characters. I feel like he deserves 1000 times better but I absolutely love the way. She was written as a character. I love that. It ended on a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to listening to the next book, but Again was just wonderfully frustrated at the back-and-forth between both of them.

Excellent start

Start to a series! So it’s a cliffy. I liked the story a lot, not too much legal/courtroom stuff if that’s not your thing either. Great writing, great dialog, fantastic narration. The characters are well developed. Just really well done. Worth the credit and definitely worth going on In the series. I’m invested in the characters and the story.

Loved It! Hated It....

I love a good angsty love story as much as the next person.. that said I really hate stories that are angsty back and forth for no reason. I almost stopped listening to the last 2 chapters because I was so frustrated with Skylar and her push pull nonsense. Call him to meet up, just to be mean and hurtful, when all he wanted to do was love her. I'm not sure I will even continue the series if 30 more hrs of this are what I have in store...

Intelligent and Hot

I love the author’s wit and humor. She capture’s realistic feelings and her story lines and character development are on point. I am throughly enjoying the through lines of the characters between these series of novels, What a talented and gifted author. These are fantastic live stories. I cannot get enough.

It's been a while since I've found a book that can actually hold my interest and I be so predictable!!! This was the first time listening to a book by this author and it did not disappoint!!! it kept me at the edge of my seat so much so that I read all 3 books and one sitting.The narration was good and the story was well-developed there is romance, comedy, mystery, hot sex scenes, and a strong female lead. I highly recommend this book😍😍😍🙌🙌🙌

Skyler was mean and in her head way too much. She was from Brooklyn, come on did she have to be so whinny! The story line was good but could have been made into 1 maybe 2 books.

Love CJ Bloom... the heroin not so much

Skyler is annoying skipped the last two chapters. Hopefully the other books get better. she really needs to get it together.

Brandon & Skyler

Ends on a cliffhanger.Enjoyed their story and understood the characters. Brandon came from nothing, built an empire, and was socially awkward when it came to matters of the heart. He never told Skyler he was married and separated from his wife for three years. Absolutely loved Brandon very swoon worthy. He does go to her graduation and kiss her goodbye. Skyler’s character was hard to take, she didn’t communicate with the MMC, and she was much like her mom that way. Can’t wait for book #2.
