my favorite beginner Spanish book

I really like the way they put all words in context, coupled with the right amount of repetition.

So musical

I find myself listening to the background music more than the narrator. I keep hoping the music will stop but it never does.

Ana sounds more asian than spanish

I think the book would be better if Ana pronounced the words a lot better, I tried listening to the glossary section and could only listen to the first few words, Her Spanish was so terrible I could not tolerate it.

Distracting music. Needs clarity.

This is OK except there is really distracting music all the way through the lessons. It’s totally unnecessary and makes it hard to concentrate. Sometimes the music volume is so loud that it’s ridiculous. There are times when they forget to give you the English word or they give it so late in the game that you forget what the Spanish word was.

Need written book to understand

Text is designed to have the book in front of you while you work through the process. Not conversational-based.
