Copious, Abundant, Overflowing With Knowledge!

This book is an encyclopedia of information for managers and would-be managers to become skillful leaders and lead their teams and, ultimately, their organizations to success. There are more than 31 skills explained in detail here. Author J. Viva and narrator Jack Nolan have done a wonderful job and have presented the book and all their citations skillfully.
A few things that stood out for me:

Extremely Helpful!

Learned a ton listening to this audiobook. My favorite part was the section on team conflicts. I have always struggled in this category, and the author's wisdom and experience was really helpful! I also thought the narrator had great pacing and a pleasant voice for the material! A joy to listen to.

Lots of information!

In terms of the information it provided to its listeners, this audiobook is useful and in-depth. It gives managers or anybody serving in a leadership role inside any business a clear roadmap of tactics for how to attract and keep staff and build successful teams that can accomplish objectives. The author's placement of the information is easy and simple to follow. It showcases the various difficulties that contemporary leaders must overcome. Managers and leaders may manage their life with the aid of this wonderful tool. Anybody who wants to be at the top of their game in life should consider it, not just leaders.

You can be a strong leader

It's really hard to manage people. I know it as I have led a group of colleagues for a small not-for-profit organization, and it was not a cup of tea- so many challenges and obstacles. I could have used the insights and tips in this book during those times. This book contains lots of practical tips and strategies that will help you be an effective and confident leader, help build a strong and efficient team and create an enjoyable work environment. Definitely recommend.

Awesome book on leadership for the 21st century

This book is awesome because it really gets down to the more modern style of management and leadership that’s effective in 2023. I got my masters in I/O psychology and did my capstone project on leadership. I’m always curious to see what other people have to say about how to be a good leader, and this book includes many of the things I learned in grad school. It emphasizes the type of leadership where you lead by example, how to keep your employees (high turnover is such a problem today), and how to best communicate with your team.

I highly recommend!

For Managers of a New Generation

I have been a manager for twenty years at some level in both the military and the business world. But, if you like me, you feel like what used to work isn't working anymore with this younger generation. The problem is never with those you are given to manage, it's how you adjust your management style to adapt to who you are managing. This book hits all the key areas a manager today needs to master to catch up with the changing world of new hires. I think the most valuable part for me was adjusting the way I approach the recruiting and hiring process. It's not good enough to just offer someone a job anymore, you have to sell them on how investing in their future with your company will benefit them and how they will be a valuable member of what you are doing. This book is full of great tips, even for those managers long in the tooth like me. In business, if you're not changing, you die. Do yourself a favor and take the time to catch up and take your management game up a notch with this book. If you manage people in any capacity, you can learn something here.

Helped me achieve leadership I've strived for!

As the boss of a great practice, I have amazing employees but I've struggled to form a team. This audiobook helped me to inspire a solid team of people rather than single employees working next to each other, they now work together and you can feel the positive change in the office environment. I love chapter 5 when it goes into details about emotion and emotional intelligence. I've always believed emotional intelligence was the secret sauce to great leaders and this audiobook helped me to use emotion to mine and my teams advantage. Also the communication skills it goes into is truly priceless. I have learned so much from this audiobook and I can't wait to listen to it a second time to make sure I didn't miss any info since everything in this is so useful!
