Great story with excellent narrators!

This story is not Mafia, it’s Society… what’s the difference you ask?? Hmmmm…. You’ll have to read/listen to find out!

The couple in this book, Alessio and Natalia, are fire from almost moment one. Although he tries to be cold and distant. She come in as a nanny for Nino, the boy who lives with Alessio… but there’s something else on her mind.

This book is gritty and full of angst… it twists and turns and twists again. It is a great listen and read! The narrators Stefanie Kay an Gideon Frost did an exceptional job with these characters!!!

Holy cow, I could not put this down once I started! Kingdom Fall took place in a different city, but it was the same crazy Society world that we got from A. Zavarelli's previous Society Trilogy. Alessio was cold and closed off, but it was hard to truly hate someone whose entire life revolved around loyalty and not being like his father. I loved watching his struggle to be affectionate with Nino and to try and fight his attraction to Natalia. The attraction and intensity between Natalia and Alessio was off the charts, so it was a given that they couldn’t fight it forever! I started guessing about Natalia’s past from the very beginning and while some thing were easy to guess, I could not wrap my mind around everything that she suffered and went through. She came off as meek in the beginning but we slowly got to see the real her with how she stood her ground with Alessio when it came to Nino, not to mention her survivor instincts. A. Zavarelli mastered the ability to mix drama, nail biting tension, major steam with some romance sprinkled in, and twists and turns that had the ability to shock me until the end!
I read this book when it first came out but the audiobook makes the story even better! Stefanie Kay did an amazing job adding the emotion and struggle that Natalia was going through, and I loved Gideon's sexy but deadly cold voice!

I really enjoyed this book and it's not my first from this author and would not be my last.

Everything you want in a mafia love story. Sexy strong smart alpha male. Smart and reasonable nanny who captivates you right from the start. No bratty behavior or unrealistic misunderstandings. Great chemistry and Great spice. And you emotionally bond to both. Well earned and very good HEA. 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Loved this story

I loved reading this book when it came out, and I love it even more now that I’ve listened to it. The narrators did a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life, and the story feels even more ingrained in me than it was before.

Beyond excellent!

I have listened to every audiobook that audible has available from author A. Zavarelli. She is incredibly talented and after every one of her stories the one word that comes out of my mouth is “wow”! I’m usually so stunned that nothing else can come out. Lol .. This one is phenomenal! Definitely credit worthy! It was a roller coaster ride the whole way with a much needed happy ending for both characters. Bring out the next please!

Amazing

Holy mackerel this book was amazing and so yummy. Who doesn't love a dangerous, powerful, filthy rich man? I freaking love, love, loved Alessio. Putting everything aside I knew once I started this book there was no way I was going to stop until I finished. Awesome narration by Stephanie Kay and Gideon Frost!

If you like mafia romance, get it NOW!!!!!!

Probably one of my all time favorite book and the narrators did it justice. I’ve listened to the book twice and probably will again, can always count on it get me out of my reading slump. 10/10 would recommend to all the dark romance lovers, it will get you in your feelings.

Didn't pull me in

I am a huge fan of A Zavarelli. The Boston Underworld will always be one of my top FAV series but this book never pulled me in. I NEVER felt the connection between Alessio and Natalie and even the connection between Neno and Natalie seemed like it was an afterthought. it seems a little unrealistic to me that a very rich man would hire someone to care for his young child that couldn't speak. Maybe I expected too much...?

I read this book when it first released and was blown away. Below is my review. Now, listening to it, made me love it even more! The narrator’s really brought the story to life even better than my imagination!

Holy cow Batman, what a story! I am never disappointed in the unexpected that comes in all of A. Zavarelli’s books. Get ready for quite a ride of emotions and feelings for all the characters in the story. I fell hard for Alessio even knowing the world he comes from. My heart bonded so quickly with Natalia and my heart ached without knowing the full horror she endured until much later in the story. You will see that “bad “ isn’t always bad, and those who we should trust aren’t always to be trusted. Alessio and Natalia are two parts to a whole that didn’t know they go together until they just fit. Definitely a 5 star read for me!!
