Ben Dooley makes this worth listening to
Ive read this in print 4 times over the decades and I’ve never liked it. I dislike the book so muched that I returned the Blackstone edition years ago. Ben Dooley causes me to like and take pleasure in the recording. His performance made it into a solid and sympathetic work.
