Better than the first

The story was already good. I really liked the way this one flowed. Just enough time with each character and back again. It kept me riveted!! Great narration as well!

Loved the performance

I loved the first book! However, I think this book was rushed. There was 4 stories crammed in one book. It seemed as if ever other sentences was about a different caricature. The emotional connection I had with the characters of the first book send tenuous at best in the second. I do look forward to book 3!

Another perfect example of adult warrior fantasy

another fantastic Epic read extremely well by Simon Vance I would say that this is probably one of the best audio book series that I've listened to in more than a year

The second installment is just as exciting as the first. Blood debts are paid and waiting.

I was worried about the reviews

I was worried about the reviews that expressed annoyance with the constant changes in point of view. I didn't mind that at all and actually thought it kept it interesting.

Kept me wanting more.

I'm just wish part 3 was done. Can't wait for it to be published.

If you liked the Wolf of the North...

Then you'll bloody well love this book too. Who ever this Hamilton feller is, he and Simon Vance bring this world to life. Nary a thing wrong with this book, save one thing, but it'll spoil the story a bit, and I'll not get into that. My old ears can't wait to hear Simon Vance taken the role of the Maester Spaker once more and tellin more of Wolfric's, Adelaide's, Jagover's and Rudolph's tale.

So Good!!

Well written and performed beautifully!!! Great hero, heroine, and despicable villain, lots of action and a touch of magic. I love these books and can’t wait to get to the next!!

Excellent Narration and a solid story

enjoyed book one and this was a solid continuation. The narration was lovely and really brings the characters to life
