Slow start

After a slow start in book 1, the series got better than I believed it was going to be. I initially believed it to be a simple love story that blew up into something far bigger. 2 thumbs up.

Amazes me.

I have read The Air Awaken series, followed by the Golden Guard series, and then this series, Vortex Chronicles, you should go in that order. It amazes me how all of these books are just one intertwined story so layered and developed in this universe, Any answers you don't get in one series you get in the Vortex Chronicles. Author Elise Kova is truly talented. I did feel a bit annoyed by the young character taking a long time to connect the dots on where to look for who she's trying to find (no spoilers), but throughout the series I couldn't stop imagining this as a movie series. I hope she gets a movie deal because it's well developed and fast paced. I recently purchased all the authors published audiobooks so while I'm sad this story is over, I am thrilled to start my next story by Elise Kova.

I loved the character development!

It was a great series! Unexpected twists and turns! It was great how Elise tied it together with the Wind Walker Series!

Such a great follow on to the original story

First of all the change in narrator was strange. I started this immediately after finishing Air Awakens. That being said I loved the story and seeing just how everything evolved and concluded. I would have loved to see a longer epilogue, but the time spent traveling the lines of fate made the ending that much sweeter.

If you can get through the first couple of hours

If you can get through the first couple of hours of narration, the narrator does get better. It was good. Help me captivate the whole way. A little frustrating with all the challenges she kept facing over and over again. I will admit in the beginning I wanted more of her parents and their relationship. I wasn’t ready to let them go. But Vi grew on me quickly and I because absorbed in her only. Good series. Will recommend.

The world building

I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read The Air Awakens before. Since this becomes a SPOILER********

time travel story, it would have been better to read the original first. It was good, but Vi and the ML are a bit whiny

the book was great the author did an amazing job writing the book. it was predictable at times but still good though the issue I had was the reader the last one was better

Meh, but at least a different story

I like the different story line. Most books all seem to share the same idea. But, it got old. kept waiting for it to get exciting but even the more dramatic scenes were just, Meh. I kept going because I wanted to see how it ended. It ended pretty much as expected.

Honestly, I don't think I really liked it. It's like eating plain oatmeal. Sure it will feed you, but it is bland and boring. I kept waiting for it to end and it kept going and going with no real new happenings.

I liked the narrator's voice but even she seemed like she needed a cup of coffee.

Characters and food plot

I Loved the depth of the characters. Her ability to overlap timelines without resulting in confusion for the reader was amazing.

Unexpected outcomes

It really throws you for a loop in the middle. It was an interesting read. Like how it tied into the universe overall, The voice acting was superb.
