Maxine Mitchell and Stephen Dexter are our narrators for this one! Maxine is an incredible narrator and does a great job as Brynn! Stephen Dexter, I have not heard a lot from him but love him as Jake!!

We are back in Steel Ridge with the guys of Harper Security Ops.
Brynn finds that she has gotten some unwanted attention and turns to HSO for assistance and runs into Jake. They are both instantly attracted and drawn to one another but will Jakes past keep him from giving in and finding the happiness his coworkers have?
Giving into the attraction, both Brynn and Jake find that they are perfect for one another but will the hidden danger that brought Brynn to him keep them from going the distance?

Another suspense filled romance in the series

Once again, this author delivers another suspense filled romance audiobook.
We are back with the dynamic members of Harper Security Ops and this time the story belongs to Jake Burns, the self defense expert whom we have met in previous stories.
Brynn Allen is an ambitious personal trainer/social influencer . As independent as she is, when a stalker makes their appearance, Brynn reaches out to Harper Security Ops for help and it’s Jake who becomes her bodyguard.
The attraction is immediate but Jake’s past is difficult to allow him to open his heart.
As the danger intensifies so do the feelings taking the listeners to lots of ups and downs of emotions .
Will these two be able to overcome the evil and in the end , find their HEA?
The plot was engaging and the characters perfect because of their imperfections. The story was also a reminder that the experiences we have during our childhood and youth, will affect the adults we become.
The narrators Maxine Mitchell and Stephen Dexter did a great job with the voices.

Well Written and Narrated Story

I adored this novel so much! All the good feels here. Brynn and Jake were so wonderful. I loved Brynn's maturity as she helped Jake navigate his feelings about his brother's death when he was a teenager as Jake helped Brynn learn self defense moves after she was approached by some guys who knew her from her online fitness videos. So many touching moments that brought tears to my eyes and the epilogue ended in such a poignant way. The narrators were awesome and brought this book to life in ways reading it silently never can.

Great combination of romance and suspense.

I did not like the reason Jake and Brynn met. But I am envious of how they met. I wish one of my girlfriends knew someone like Jake. Great combination of romance and suspense

Intention (Harper Security Ops Book 12) by A. K. Evans is about an online training fitness instructor, Brynn, and Harper Security defense class instructor, Jake. Because Brynn has 460,000 followers online, she became more recognizable, and a questionable incident caused Brynn to feel afraid since she didn’t know any self-defense. Brynn met Jake when she sought out a self-defense instructor at Harper Security who taught her how to protect herself. Jake lost his younger brother in an accident that involved the logs they were both stacking up for winter which almost destroyed him. The story is about things that were not intended to happen such as Jake’s brother’s accident or never intending to fall in love. Brynn discovers she has a stalker that puts Jake’s protectiveness on high alert. There is passion, intrigue, and a mystery to solve. Brynn helps Jake reevaluate his life as he does everything in his power to keep her safe. With twists and turns that astonish the reader at the end. The book Intention is Harper Security Ops book 12 is a standalone interlocking series about the men who work for Harper Security and how each find his lady love. A. K. Evans never ceases to amaze me with the variety of stories and books she writes that are all unique and full of romance each with their own HEA. A. K. Evan’s book Intention is an audiobook narrated by Maxine Mitchell's husky voice and Stephen Dexter whose sexy voice ratches up the sexiness of listening pleasure. The story was read in such a way one could imagine being a part of the book.

Intention may be my favorite HSO couple yet!

Brynn and Jake couldn't have been more perfect for each other! Their relationship was truly swoon worthy. He may have saved her when her life was in danger but, for all intents and purposes, she really saved him. Brynn was a bada$$ "angel" FMC that healed all the broken parts of Jake. Jake was the badda$$ "big guy" on the outside, but a broken man on the inside that never healed from losing his brother and ultimately his family when he was younger. Brynn found herself at Harper Security Ops when her online presence started to se her being recognized in public and she needed to be able to protect herself. Jake ended up being her trainer and their attraction was instantaneous. They fall hard and fast for each other, although I would argue he fell first. I really enjoyed getting a glimpse of all the other Harper Security Ops couples in this installment as well. Another fantastic book from AK Evans!

Harper Security Keeps Getting Better With Book 12

A.K. Evans’s Harper Security Ops series just gets better and better with Book 12, “Intention.” Jake is a beautiful broken soul who is as hot as they come. Brynn is the confident friend we want in our crew - gorgeous, strong, and independent, yet smart enough to see that Jake could be her forever if he lets her. Such a great story to add to the collection—steamy, a bit suspenseful, relatable characters, and all the good stuff I love and have come to expect in an A.K. Evans novel, this one is a gem! The plot in this one is really well developed as well! And I can’t wait to get my hands on the audiobook because I have a feeling some of those scenes will wreck me! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! UPDATE: I was so right about the audiobook! Stephen Dexter and Maxine Mitchell. Oh. My. WOW!!! These two nailed it as Jake and Brynn, and man…ugly crying in scenes that I already knew were coming. The narrators packed a huge punch into some truly touching scenes.

Heartbreaking, yet beautiful

Brynn is an active, independent fitness coach and gaining social media followers at a rapid pace. Being recognized often in public now and having some uncomfortable interactions with fans has left her feeling the need for self-defense knowledge. When she turns to Harper Security Ops for self-defense training, she meets Jake. Jake...oh my heart breaks for this man. The guilt he's carrying from a tragic accident is almost more than he can bare. He's kept himself away from family, relationships, or getting close to anyone. Brynn is a strong, determined woman and that is exactly what Jake needs to help him overcome to guilt and pain of the past. The physical chemistry between these two is amazing, but the deep emotional connection was the best! I don't want to spoil any parts of this book, but I will say this is one of my favorite stories from HSO, yet! I listened to this on audio and as always, the narrators were phenomenal. Their emotion fit the story perfectly and really took the story to another level.

where can I find an ops of my own!?!?

Where can I find a real life Harper Security Ops?!?!? Brynn Allen wanted to be proactive about keeping safe and being able to defend herself. Enter Harper Security Ops and Jake Burns. The attraction between the two characters was instantaneous. I mean, what's not to like?!?!? They were smitten with each other from first meet. I like how the author can write books in the same genre and tropes, and keep the stories fresh. Casting Maxine Mitchell and Stephen Dexter as the female and male leads was amazing. They brought the characters' personalities out and gave them some kind of multidimensional realness.

Yes please!!

One of my favorite things is when a woman stands up and takes care of business, but also knows when to be taken care of too. It was nice to see the connection between Brynn and Jake. I think Stephen Dexter has to be my favorite to listen too!!
