A perfect blend of story and character!

I LOVED listening to this story! It is full of suspense and action! That is right up my alley! Then add in delicious, intriguing and animated characters and I am sold!

The characters really drew me in. Not just Farren (the mysterious, hot older brother) but the innocence and vivaciousness of Haven and Essalin (cool name BTW). They all are full fledged characters that change and grow as the story unfolds. I don’t want to forget to mention the evil guys because without them there would be no story.

Overall I am overly pleased with this story and cant wait to dig in to the next one! I did listen to this on audio. Keira Stevens did a wonderful job being all the different characters. That Epilogue!!! OMG its exactly what should be in there...especially with a second book coming out.

Great romantic suspense!

Wanted to like it

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I found the exchanges between the two main characters immature for adults and the main woman character to be incredibly naive. Some of the exchanges felt like high school/ middle school. The narrator did a good job but I got through a couple hours and I couldn’t take the confusion of the story line/ plot or the character’s total disregard that their loved one is missing but yet the main woman character is more concerned with what the male character does and if they are going to have a romp in the sack. I couldn’t finish the book and I hate doing that. This is a good author but for whatever reason I couldn’t get into this story.

Exciting and on Edge

I received this audiobook free, as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, for an honest review. This book kept me on the edge. I couldn't stop listening. Looking forward to more in this series. The author mixed suspense, romance and angst all in one book. There were twists and turns you didn't expect. The narrator did a great job with the individual characters.

Loved it!

OMG this story was full suspense, love and turmoil. Farren is one hot Alpha who protects with all he has I can’t wait to start the next book because the cliffhanger was twist is didn’t see coming.

Interesting premise with very weak female

Firstly, I thought Keira Stevens did a good job with the narration. In general, she told the story well, with good pacing and emotion, and she was easy to listen to.

While the premise of the story was interesting, I couldn't get over how weak the female character was. The premise is that Essa's friend disappeared after they went out one night. Her friend's brother comes to try to find her and he has many enemies so the search for her was dangerous. Essa is so attracted to him that at any moment, she completely forgets about her friend's disappearance, the danger and everything else in order to get it on with Farren. After happening multiple times, I just shook my head. My preference is to have a stronger female character and slightly more realistic mindsets.

I've read other books by this author and most of the time, have enjoyed the books. So, this is a detour for me as well! :)

Sweet and Suspenseful Romance!

This is a suspenseful, yet sweet love story. After a night of partying and questionable decisions, Essa wakes up to find her roommate and best friend, Haven, is missing. When the authorities don't believe her, she turns to Haven's sexy, older brother, Farren, for help. They embark on a road trip following the clues left behind. Essa has lead a sheltered life, never following her own dreams, so this roadtrip is a turning point in her life where she grows stronger and more confident. She and Farren work together to find Haven and as they do, their attraction becomes undeniable. But Farren, who can be so sweet, has a mysterious past that includes special ops. He has so many secrets that could be putting both their lives in danger. I loved the way this gripping story unfolded. It is a sweet love story between two intriguing characters and a suspenseful journey with twists and turns that keep you guessing who to trust and what might happen next. This is my first listen to narrator, Keira Stevens. She has a soothing voice that is perfect for the romance as she sets the stage for the impending action and suspense. This is a great start to this Inevitability series and I am excited for the next book!

Nnoooo there is A cliffhanger!!!!

I really don’t want to like this book because I hate books with cliffhangers.:.: But I do like this book. It was a good book with drama, love and cruel characters. And narration by Keira Stevens is phenomenal. She was sooo good that I have to look for more books narrated by her. She is the reason this book gets 5stars.
Now I guess I have to wait until 2. Book get to be on audio. That’s why I hate cliffhangers
