Bailey and Bell

They grew up as close as brothers but everything changed the night of their graduation when they kissed. Ryan took off the next day without a word. Now years later both are a success. Grady is hired to sing the national anthem at the world series game Ryan is playing in and they reconnect. Fear. Frustration. Longing. They’ve missed each other and their friendship, but that’s not all between them.

Second-chance love stories are a hard sell for me. I can’t ever get over all of the lost time. Having said that, this story is entertaining. Very low angst. It’s also a bit misleading from the blurb. There’s very little mention of the fathers during the story considering how they are both featured. Since it’s too late to expand the role of the preacher dad and his congregation, I would rewrite the blurb to better fit the story. Ryan and Grady were great together. The friends-to-lovers angle worked nicely. I do admit, I loved the agents' pop-in appearances during the story. The humor they added was appreciated.

Christian Black and Dash Coleman were wonderful as Ryan and Grady. I especially loved the gruffness of Christian’s portrayal of Grady. Dash offset him beautifully making these two characters very believable.

Ryan and Grady stole my heart. Right from the beginning you can feel the undeniable connection between the best friends. The tension between Ryan and Grady is thick until they finally take that step from friends to more.

Christian Black and Dash Coleman are both new narrators for me and they both knocked it out of the park. I loved listening to both of them, especially Christian's deep gravely voice, and hope to hear so much more from both of them in the future.

Get ready for... mm, sports (baseball), rockstar, best friends to lovers, and dual-first person point of view.

Immoral has a heat level of 3 flames and gets 4.5 maple leafs!

I love MM books and Grady and Ryan definitely stole my heart! Listened to this one on audio and the narrators were on point!

Definitely worth the read!

MM Romance

Immoral by Nicole Dykes is a MM romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Christian Black and Dash Coleman.

This is the third book of Nicole's that I have read, and it won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story and making me feel what the characters are feeling. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Grady and Ryan. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Christian and Dash did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like MM romances, sports romances, rockstar romances, or contemporary romances.

I love the beginning of this book. It was curious and genuine like a lot of queer stories.

LOVED IT!!!!!

Yet another book from Nicole Dykes that I could not put down. This book is about 2 boys who grow up together as best friends.... Ryan realizes he is gay during his teen years.... Grady is straight. Ryan can't handle the unrequited love and fears the backlash of his best friend so he takes off. And then they meet again 7 years later..... and boy what a meeting it is! I freaking LOVE these 2 men! Grady is literally Ryan's opposite in every way. This book was hot! And that element of friendship remained there through it all (once they got past that 7 year separation) The way that Grady just kind of rolled with it all while Ryan would freak out was quite comical. I am so in love with these men that I was not ready to be done reading about them.

When I heard Nicole was writing an MM book I was all for it..... I AM HERE FOR IT!!! I just KNEW she was going to kill it! There wasn't too much angst, but both men were BEYOND swoon worthy and the story was a great one! I always look forward to Nicole's books, and she absolutely did NOT let me down! Anyone who is a fan of MM books NEED Ryan and Grady in their life!!!

Loved this

This was my first book by Nicole and I could not put it down. I went straight into reading her other books and I have loved everyone of them. Ryan has been in love with his straight best friend Grady for years. After they share a kiss after their graduation they loose contact for seven years. After they meet up again Grady is determined to get his best friend back, but starts developing feelings for Ryan who is scared of getting hurt. He is afraid of just being an experiment, but he still goes for it and that's the start of their beautiful story. This book is full of sass, unbelievable chemistry and those hot moments we look forward to. I absolutely loved this book and patiently waiting for Nicole to write more mm stories. The narration was so good.

Second Chances

This story gave me all of the feels and had me hooked from the beginning. I really enjoyed Grady & Ryan's second chance at true love. Listening to the great audiobook narration only added to the experience.

I loved this book the first time I read it an now listening to it made me fall in love with it again. The narrators did a fabulous job on telling this story.

I am definitely going to be checking out more audiobooks from this author. This was the 3rd audiobook I have listened to and I loved the dynamics the author created. I ate it up in a day, I didnt want it to end! I grabbed more of them so will be checking them out in a couple weeks as I rotate between RH, M/M, and M/F listens haha.

This book packed a lot of punch. To see how the guys navigated their feelings, chemistry, and eventually their relationship was exciting. I loved how Grady just did whatever he wanted, regardless of what people thought. He has a tough upbringing which I think helps him live his life however he wants it. Once we has a chance to reconnect with Ryan he doesnt take no for an answer. He realizes Ryan is into guys and things start to turn for him, his eyes are opened to his best friend being the one for him. I loved how he showed his vulnerability but Ryan reassured him and he got through with flying colors haha. I wanted to give Ryan a hug so many times in this one. The way his family treated him was unacceptable (I did love his dad by the end haha) and how he had to hide himself was just heartbreaking. I know there are athletes who still do this because of the world we live in, but I wish people could love whoever they want in peace. I was happy to see him finally get the happiness he deserves, for sticking up for himself and coming out. For choosing the out of his comfort zone and making his HEA come true with Grady. I also enjoyed the little bit of sports romance, I don’t see baseball a lot in books and with it gearing up with Spring Training right now I was totally in the mood for it!

The narration was done really well, I haven't listened to audiobooks from either of these two but I enjoyed their rendition. I liked the one who did Ryan more, but I though Grady’s gravelly voice lended itself well to his singer persona. I loved their chemistry, these two really elevated the story and made me fall for them. I got all happy teary-eyed with the epilogue with how their lives ended up! Their adorable family and friends was amazing. I do wonder if there is a book with one of the side characters and if he got his HEA too. Gonna see if I can figure that out hehe.

Definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves M/M and loves friends to lovers (with a little twist with not quite enemies). Also the angst was good (not too much) but the chemistry and sweet moments were perfect ❤️
