It's good for young people just starting to learn story. I disagree with the 'stories don't have formulas' statements.

Annoying narator

Where does How to Write a Children's Book rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Loved the content of the book.

Felt like I was a five year old. The narrator is so condescending. I want to write a children's book, not be a child.

Great Audiobook

Davis and Fields created a quality book that offers incredible insights into the mind of children and young adults. This will be an invaluable tool for all authors looking to write in any children or young adult genres. The performance of Mrs. Quinn was a great selection for this volume. I found myself melting into the details of this book. I cannot recommend this book enough.

What age range are these books meant for?

Fairly early in the audiobook, it suggests not to dumb your book down for the audience, then points to Harry Potter and Holes. While those are definitely books kids would read in elementary school, I misunderstood and thought children's books meant books for young children.
The cadence of the narrator felt robotic, and the intro pushing their class was a little off putting.

Horrible

I don't know if this book could be better with a different reader but I am having a really hard time listening to it when it sounds like it's a 12-year-old i'm taking advice from. Very obvious everything in this book.
