Harry Potter

I enjoyed the entire book but really enjoyed chapter 3 related to Harry Potter. I’m not a big HP fan but enjoyed the authors way of relating the message to the society we are living in today. Thanks Frank!

Excellent book of how heroes reflect the ultimate

This book is an excellent reference for Christian movie lovers. It is well written and well performed. I have been a big fan of Frank for years and this book is another powerful tool for Christian apologetics.

Thought Provoking and Well-Written

The material from each chapter flows nicely without incorporating arbitrary or loosely connected points. Rather the author keeps the story moving while simultaneously building a case upon the similarities between heroic Hollywood characters and the person of Jesus of Nazareth.

The communication, I think, is understandable and easily accessible. Some of the concepts are challenging to work with, but the examples found in the Hollywood characters help illustrate the points. Overall the book is very cleanly done; it is straightforward, easy-to-understand, and thought provoking. The material itself is entertaining as well. Very interesting and well thought out.

A Superb, Entertaining Adventure

I immensely enjoyed Frank and Zach Turek’s Hollywood Heroes book. It was great hearing Frank himself narrate the book. The outline of the book es well developed and each chapter flows nicely together. The best feature of hearing the audiobook for me is how you get to ponder and think about theological issues in a fun and entertaining way pertaining to great superhero and fantasy adventures from the big screen. Prior knowledge of the superheroes and movies discussed is recommended to get the most out of the book. I’ve always enjoyed watching movies and analyzing the worldview, moral dilemmas, the aspect of human nature and philosophy come across the story. Frank and Zach exceedingly pass their mission in revealing out great superhero and fantasy stories we love really point to Jesus and the greatest story ever told. Stories of sacrifice, love, fighting and standing up for truth and justice all point to Jesus sacrificing himself for the whole world to save us from hell. I highly recommend this book and audiobook. Frank does a good job narrating and even does a few different voices for different characters. He doesn’t change his voice mich but the few times he does is quite enjoyable and entertaining. That further adds to the excellence of this audiobook. Check it out!

Interesting

This book is definitely interesting take on apologetics. I always love Frank Turek’s way to express very common sense arguments for Christianity. We also get a glimpse of a few very well-known apologetics books at the end. No spoilers here though ;).

Hollywood Heroes all borrow from the Greatest Hero

I truly enjoyed this book. I've been having these thoughts that were covered in this book all my life. Now told in a clear concise way. I always enjoyed these pop culture heroes and found many of them to have similar qualities. later on reading more I found that history has been full of characters that had great qualities and struggles. However the greatest hero of all simply cannot be matched even when all of them are put together. I highly recommend this book and after hearing it I am starting to share with my tween and teen children who enjoy the MCU and DC characters.
