His Hallow Heart is the first book in the Fallen Kingdom series. This book is told from dual points of view from Isabella (Bella) and Callum (Cal). Cal and Bella grew up in the same foster home. They promised they would never leave each other and would get adopted together. However, something happens and Bella gets adopted without Cal.

Now years later Bella gets a once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity. She takes it and realizes she's trapped on an island with Cal, who is now her new boss. Cal wants Bella there so he can get his revenge for her leaving. However, she fights every way and doesn't fall to his whims.

Bella wants to know what Cal is hiding. However, the more she struggles, the more he takes revenge on her, and she starts to have feelings for him. Will she find out all of his secrets? Will she get off the island? Will Cal get his revenge?

I loved every minute of this book and all of the twists and turns. There was quite a bit I didn't see coming. I can't wait until the next part comes out!

Male narrator did not match character

I did not enjoy the reading by the male narrator. It was always the same tone with ineffective inflection and pacing that made it seem like he was in a rush to get to the end of his chapter.

Alexander and Elizabeth did such an outstanding job of bringing Callum and Bella to life!
I love Callum and Bella's story!! I was completely drawn into Bella's world and I loved every minute of their story!! This book was just so freaking amazing and I just love their story!

Obsessed male lead

It’s a subtle push into the world of Cal’s obsession with power and possession. But once you’re in there, you’re stuck. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a better place to be stuck in.

Fantastic steamy listen!!

Bella and Callum were friends for 4 years in a foster home. They made a promise to always stay together but one day changed everything. Years later and fate brings them back together but it won't be easy. I just love their chemistry and it is off the charts hot!! First time to listening to these narrators and they did great protraying these wonderful characters. Highly recommend this great audiobook!!

Beautifully brought to life

This book is incredible as itself, but with the voices of the narrators it became even more awesome.
They lay so much emotion in their way to tell the story and let the characters become to life in front
of your eyes by the way they let them speech. Very well done, keeps you captivated to hear them
read the book.
The story of Callum and Bella, 2 orphans who vowed to each others to stay together until kindom
come, is full of rage, love and angst. Bringing Bella to this island and intending to hold her there,
because she promised him to stay together, and to make her his, is Callums goal. But Bella is not
that innocent little child anymore that she was 12 years ago. Fighting against the past and for a
future seems impossible as the days gone by and secrets are revealed.
Can wait for the second part of the fallen kindom duet come to life as well.

Enjoyable

I liked it. Story is pretty well what ya expect from a smut book, still a fun listen!

I didn’t really care for the way the male narrator voiced female characters…he made Bella sound so whiny!

Audiobook was fantastic

An orphanage.
A secluded island, castle, and fancy ball gowns.
Grand Pianos, secret passages, and a music box.

This may sound like a classic fairytale; a tale that's all too familiar to you, but I guarantee you it is not. His Hollow Heart is the story about choices and consequences; deceit, obsession, and lust. A story about broken promises and shattered dreams.

Callum and Bella were just kids when they met. He was 10 and she was 7. Both were orphans at Webster Hall who were instantly drawn to each other. In the four years that followed the two developed a bond that went beyond friendship. They became each other's life line. Their connection was strong and they promised to always stay together, but when Bella breaks that promise, she unleashed a darkness in Callum that will haunt him for years to come. A darkness that consumed him and turned him into the monster who is out for revenge.

I loved this audiobook so much. It was like listening to a dark, gothic fairytale full of suspense and excitement.

absolutely amazing

such a good story, the narrators were amazing. Rachel is so talented loved it!

Not very good

Not very good, and even worse narration. Maybe I’d like it better if read instead of listened. Story is choppy, no real emotional connection. Wild jumps that make no sense.
