Winter is dying, and spring is bringing the land back to life.

In the weeks that followed the successful campaign to eliminate the stalker menace, David and the ladies have returned to Haven. It's been a peaceful four weeks, a return to as close to "normal" as you can get in a post-apocalyptic world where undead monsters roam the landscape and humans live alongside a half-dozen different species of inhumans.

But a new threat has been brewing the whole time, looming on the horizon like dark clouds before a brutal storm: the vipers. And it's only getting worse.

Lara, the badass military babe from Lima Company, shows up with another proposition: Her group wants to pair with the warriors of Haven once again to deal with the growing threat of the vipers. David immediately agrees, and they set to work on figuring out how to handle this situation. Unfortunately, it's not going to be as straightforward as last time. They're going to need the help of an expert, and the only expert they can find is Azure, one of the inhumans known as the squids, who live in the lake and keep to themselves. And just like last time, it's going to take everything to get through this alive....

The first 6 volumes in the series have been a lot of fun! I eagerly move on to book 7 now.

it's made it through book 6 for a reason

If you are looking into listening to book 6 at this point you already know what the story will be like. this book was just as good as all the others. Amazing characters and story! i loved every bit of it!

Another great book by Misty Vixen. You will not be disappointed. Also Ellory Lane's narration really brings the story to life. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The turned are evolving!

We learned in the last book that one group of the turned had evolved to the point that they were building nests and breeding.
Are those the only ones?
Is this the only area on the planet where it's happening?
In-between all the sex our boy is having with just about anything with a juicy little hole that wants his intimacy there is a pretty good story that had you on the edge of your seat. It also has me wondering when we get to find out the military leader's plans. Are they going to be evil or good?
I was able to get this book for free with the expectation of an honest review.
I'm loving this series and can't wait for book 7.

well done all around

here we are on book 6 and I would suspect that anybody reading this review already has come to expect a certain kind of Storytelling from this author. if memory serves she writes in her bio on Amazon something to the effect that there are no alpha males and no damsels in distress. I find the stories entertaining and I think that if you haven't jumped in yet that you will. this is a post-apocalyptic World in which the story is being told. with all manner of beings and mutations and creatures and whatnot. the narrator did a fantastic job with her performance. I definitely look forward to more from both the author and the narrator going forward. as far as I'm aware this series ends on book 8 so we've got two more to go and if you cannot wait for the audio then as I said book 7 and 8 are already available in ebook form and I believe you can also pick them up through Kindle unlimited if you have subscribed to that service. lastly I'm simply going to say Well done all around and I look forward to what comes next.

A Thrilling Post-Apocalyptic Adventure!

Misty Vixen delivers another heart-racing installment in the Haven series, and Ellory Lane's narration brings the story to life. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is full of action and suspense. If you're a fan of strong female leads, post-apocalyptic worlds, and epic monster battles, this book is definitely worth a read/listen!
