Brixton and Liv have a heartbreaking second chance

Brixton and Liv have a heartbreaking second chance story that will pull at some emotions. A history full of secrets, longing, and loss; these two weather a rocky, long road to get them where they belonged for years. Add in mysterious danger on Liv's doorstep, and you receive tense moments of action and suspense. I also liked finally discovering more about the lost friend and soldier that lead to the creating of Harper Security. Narration by Tyler Johnson and Ava Erickson brought the characters to life.

An emotional rollercoaster ride

We are back with the members of Harper Security Ops. This is not only a security firm, but also a tactical and self defense training center.
One of men of Harper Security Ops is Brixton Steele. A man that still suffers from PTSD after his time in the military, especially after the death of his best friend Ryan. He continues to wish it was him who had perished.
Ryan was Brixton’s best friend and when Liv, Ryan’s younger sister, the girl he fell in love with years ago, comes to him for help, it will cost him a great deal. But not willing to turn his back to her, he vows to help her.
From that moment on, the story is an emotional rollercoaster ride in which you pray that at the end both will find each other, and be able to let the old emotional pain be replaced by hope and a new beginning.
This was another wonderful audiobook in the series. Tyler Johnson and Ava Erickson, do a great job with the narrations.

another amazing story

I have read all the books in this series and this was my first time listening via Audible. and I was not disappointed. The narrator's showed emotion and brought you right into the book. loved this one so much!

A love story that will steal your breath

Liv and Brix shared a beautiful, yet heartbreaking history that turned into the love of a lifetime. The Harper Security series just keeps getting better and better! I loved their past and present and think Ryan would’ve been thrilled to see them end up together. A test of time and obstacles love story is one of my favorites.

Haunted is book 4 in the Harper Security Ops Series. This has been my favorite in the series so far.

Brixton Steele and Liv Harper have experienced years of pain, misunderstanding, and miscommunication. Brixton has carried so much guilt around with him that he missed out on some precious time. The emotion and layers of the pain for both characters really drew me into their story. I was hooked and listened to the entire book in one afternoon. Another beautifully written and great addition to this series - it was heartfelt, full of forgiveness, love and romance, along with suspense.

Ava Ericson and Tyler Johnson were enjoyable to listen to and kept my interest throughout.

Breathtaking!

Book 4 of A.K. Evans Harper Security is amazing. Haunted is the perfect name for this book. Both Brixton and Liv are haunted by the loss of Liv’s brother and Brixton’s best friend, Ryan. Obviously, Liv misses him and is heartbroken but can’t seem to move forward since his death because she not only lost him but lost his best friend and her best friend in the process, Brixton. Brixton is haunted because he blames himself for Ryan’s death and so many times wishes it had been him to die that day and not Ryan. Brixton feels like he can’t be around Ryan’s family since he feels it is his fault Ryan died so he decides to walk away from not only Ryan’s family but Liv, someone he had feeling for but now it doesn’t matter.
Brixton watches Liv for a while and sees her struggles but then sees her pull out of them and get back on track with her life but one day she comes into Harper Security for training and throws herself back into Brixton’s sights, now, he refuses to let her go but can he keep his demons from ruining the best thing that had ever happened to him?
A.K. Evans did a great job with this book. I can’t wait for the next one.

Love and healing

Liv and Brixton’s story started with some flashbacks to set the scene of how they met, how tragedy ripped them apart, how grief kept them apart then how a couple incidents finally bring them back to each other! It was so hard knowing how much these two suffered losing Ryan and each other. I enjoyed listening to both sides of how they were trying to heal and trust enough to share their love. The drama in the story definitely took me by surprise at the end, but grateful it wasn’t too much. Liv and Brix had already been though so much they deserved that sweet HEA!

Unsure really…

I have loved all of the A.K. Evans books I’ve read/listened to so far but this one made me question a lot of things… I didn’t personally enjoy the narrators for these parts and some of the events in the story made me question certain things that either weren’t explained or didn’t add up and make sense…
