Surprising!

Like all the books in this series, this was very good. It will be on my reread list. Flynn and his teammates were kidnapped and forced to undergo DNA enhancement, making them next-level soldiers. They now own a security company headquartered in Flynn’s hometown so he can oversee his mother’s care for dementia. When Carina comes to serve as his mom’s nurse, Flynn and Carina immediately feel the sparks flying. There are a lot of twists as the two navigate persistent exes, neighborhood thugs, a deadly mercenary, and even a biker gang. Along the way Flynn betrays Carina and their future is suddenly tanked. The author deftly weaves a riveting tale that will have you rooting for the couple even as you want to smack… any number of people, including Flynn. Recommended reading!

Flynn

This is the fourth book in the Blue Halo series. Flynn was the reason the Blue Halo team relocated. His mother’s health is declining. Carina came to the small town to leave all the rumors behind. Carina is going to be taking care of Flynn’s mother, as her new home nurse. Flynn does a background check on Carina and decides that she can’t take care of his mother, she can’t be trusted. At the same time he is instantly attracted to Carina. Flynn is still dealing with trust issues. If he can learn how to trust Carina they might actually make an incredible couple. CJ Bloom and Connor Crais did a fantastic job narrating this book.

I absolutely love this story!

I absolutely love this story! The team at Blue Halo just keeps finding ways to tug at someone's heart strings and Flynn definitely does just that!
Carina finds herself in another state after running from her home and begins a new life, unfortunately for her, her troubles seem to follow her.
Flynn, loves all in and has a hard time trusting anyone but can he let go and give his heart to Carina?
Flynn and Carina give us the hope that love does conquer after all.

I hated to finish this book so now, I will just reread the series!! Nyssa does an amazing job with this series and I love how this one pulls Project Arma back in to the story. I don't think we heard much about the dangers the men all faced when they were kidnapped, or we didn't as much as in this story and I like that it pulls the stories together as a huge organization that looks out for and takes care of people that can't fight the predators that are lurking around.

Now, I need the Aidan and Cassie story!!!!

The heroine: Carina - she needed a job, she was a nurse in the small town of Cradle Mountain, Idaho after meeting the son of the home health care patient she was working fork. She had to talk to the son, Flynn again to try to change his mind about her. She came to town for a fresh start after the hell she lived through in Michigan and her fresh start will be in jeopardy if she doesn’t keep her job.

The Hero: Flynn - he is former Delta Force, who was involved in Project Arma, a unsanctioned project in which he and his team of friends and former military special forces were experimented on and given drugs and animal DNA to create special abilities. They were held captive for two years but now are free and they all moved to Cradle Mountain to be closer to his mother who has Alzheimer’s. The team owns Blue Halo Security, and they still do off-the-books missions for the government that non-enhanced men can’t usually do.

The Story: Carina was accused of stealing drugs from a patient back in Michigan, she was cleared, but Blue Halo Security dug up the dirt on her and Flynn used it as a reason to fire her. She begged for her job, and Flynn decides to give her another chance when his mom insists. He just broke up with Victoria, a doctor who wanted more from him than he was willing to give. Victoria was a bit too cold and unfeeling.

This book was pretty good. There were some threats against Carina and quite a few suspects who were against her, so you never quite knew who was behind it all. I liked how protective Flynn was, all the guys from Blue Halo are like that. There were also some other enhanced men that were against them, so that was another big question in the story that added to the suspense.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Connor Crais and C.J. Bloom. I am not that fond of C.J. Bloom, her voice sounds older than the twenty-something that Carina is supposed to be. Connor Crais has a deep, sultry voice that I really enjoy. He is one of my favorites, though his voice for female characters is not my favorite.

Loved it!

I received this as an ALC. My first book of the Blue Halo series. I loved it and will definitely be continuing the series. Connor Crais and CJ Bloom was amazing as always.

okay. so I originally read this for the lovely Nyssa, and I rated it as a solid 4 stars. I dont know what I was thinking.l, but it was definitely a 5 star for me. I must have been in a mood while reading it because I'm coming back to this book again. I loved it! I really love Flynn (even though he is a slight jerk, but I get it! he us uner protective of his mom) Corina is a freaking Saint and she has a heart of gold! them together valance each other out!!

Narrators: Connor Crais and CJ Bloom were the narrators, and they were finaminal!! but then again both of these narrators are top tier!!! I love them both and they do such an amazing job! this audio booknwas simply the best

Flynn & Carina

Ever been wrongly accused, cleared, and still pay the price? Nurse Carina has relocated to Cradle Mountain, ID, in an effort to start over, but a judgmental family member of her newest patient has to be convinced to give her a second chance. Flynn KNOWS what it's like to be judged and found guilty for something he had no control over, but it's a hard lesson to learn when the shoe is on the other foot! To be fair, he is trying to protect his mother and once the rough edges are smoothed out in his and Carina's relationship, everything improves......except for the baddies trying to not only tear their relationship apart, but also take Carina out of the picture. Flynn and the Blue Halo team work diligently to keep that contained!

Connor Crais and CJ Bloom truly bring this story to life with their terrific narration!
