Acerca de esta escucha

“Who the heck leaves a baby in a box on the doorstep of a professional football player?”

Dylan Callahan’s career needs a jump start. Between dropping passes and dropping sponsors, it’s only a matter of time before he’s traded away from his team. But what he really didn’t expect was to get a baby dropped on his front porch, with a note saying it’s his.

So he does what anyone would do. He buys a goat to feed the baby goat’s milk.

Natalie’s job in the ER keeps her busy, and she thought she was used to surprises, but that’s before a goat appears outside her apartment door.

Natalie doesn’t have time for football or flings, but she can’t leave a baby in need. Agreeing to help Dylan while they wait for paternity results, she quickly learns there’s more to him than his cocky grin and impressive stats. Between late-night feedings, hilarious mishaps, and one very opinionated goat, the line between teammates and something more starts to blur.

As the stakes rise on and off the field, can Dylan and Natalie make the play? Or will they lose the game of love?

Dylan and Natalie

An adorably sweet, witty and charming romance. Dylan and Natalie were two people who were clearly meant to meet and be together. I absolutely adored this story.

Wonderful story!

From baby abductions to conversations with goats with attitude, there's something about this story that is unique and witty.
Dylan Callahan is a star tight end on the NFL Twisters, but his star hasn't been shining brightly this year and his coach is starting to notice the decline. Ever since he had the accident, his hands aren't able to hold the ball as tightly. On top of that, his reputation has taken a hit with his tendency to party late and often. When he gets home after practice, there's a box on the step with a baby and a note inside. The mother explains that she isn't able to care for her daughter, but it's Dylan's baby and she's hoping that their little girl will have a better life with him. What's he going to do since he knows nothing about kids? Easy...call his manager, Alex. Together, you'd swear that they're Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, and there's no question that they need some help. Knowing that the baby is going to need some milk, what better way to supply the milk than to buy a goat! Penelope is well-behaved until they leave her in the bathroom and she decides that the shower curtain would make the perfect dessert. Going to a new parent website, they find a list of baby supplies and proceed to order "one of each!" A crib, bibs, burp cloths, formula, nipple cream, cabbage leaves and much more. Natalie Parker is an ER nurse and she loves the craziness there, but her goal is to become a nurse practitioner and she needs to add some hours to earn a scholarship, since the program is expensive. She lives in the same building as Dylan, and he asks her if he could pay her to be a nanny, but that carries too much risk and doesn't pay enough money. Eventually, she decides that it's too good to pass up. Their story is very sweet and a definite baby adventure. There's a bit of a mystery and some angst when Dylan's lawyer wants a DNA test to make sure the baby is his. Everything turns out well and the HEA is delightful. This story is begging for an epilogue that would earn it the 5th*.
I highly recommend First and Baby by Krista Lakes.
