I tried but I couldn’t make it through Chapter 1
I officially dislike virtual voice readings!!
I gave this a try because the summary was compelling but there is no substitute for human inflection, tone, & real speech patterns. This honestly sounded more like an instructional guide to building complex IKEA furniture. (Snark intended)
There are a couple really great authors that use this medium- frankly it seems a cheap substitute to real readers. I feel icky after listening since I wanted to hear the story… but not when it seems a publisher is going the “cheap” route. Sorry but virtual voice is no longer considered an okay method to deliver a great story.
I’ll look forward to hearing that again with my next scandi furniture purchase.
