A LOL SWEET ROM/COM DOCUDRAMA

Well what you get with this first book in the successful writing duo's new docuseries are great characters, lol humor, easy-flowing quick-witted banter, good secondary characters, some quirky very open-minded parents, sizzling instant chemistry, sexy times, a hot and very sweet Dr. hero and a competent Nurse heroine. What you won't get is a down-to-earth believable storyline with lots of rollercoaster drama intrigue and suspense.. and, at the moment, I'm 100% happy with that.

Successful OB/GYN Dr. Will Cummings didn't know what he was getting himself into when he agreed to do the tv reality show.. but, as soon as it started to air, Will came face-to-face with the impact and damage selective editing/splicing brought. Because it'd instantly brought him fame alright.. the wrong sort of fame.. fame for his sex appeal, his smouldering winks at women, his many flirtations with females and his 'behind closed doors' antics. Now there are whispers and giggles from his staff and fangirl patients who can't wait to have the hot doctor between their all too willing thighs. However things are about to change for the good doctor because his new nurse hasn't seen the show, hasn't met him yet and hasn't labelled him Dr. Obscene.

Twenty nine year old OB/GYN nurse Melody Marco had left her job and her ex and is now back living with her way too open-minded parents in NYC.. and it was her interfering good-willed mother who'd set up an interview for a nursing job that would change Melody's life and rock her world. Because, from the moment she is introduced to her new boss, the sparks between them fly and her libido is all too willing to act on their attraction.. but Melody manages to temporarily ignore it and tries to remain professional.. until the very compident compelling sexy doctor finally asks her out.

A very entertaining rom/com with a nice level of heat to heart and this writing duo certainly know how to inject humor into their scenes which all flowed well as Will and Melody got to know each other personally, professionally and sexually. But the angst came when Melody started to watch the much gossiped about show.. and (in her 'damaged before' mindset) the last eye-opening episode was the one that drove a stake right through her shattered heart. Can the distraught doctor alone mend a broken heart.. or will Will need a bit of help? Dual POV's and narration didn't totally suck.. but unfortunately Alexander Cendese can't do female voices well - in fact they were almost cartoonish.

Worth a credit? Yes.. even with its iffy narration, this book made a long commute go by in a fun filled flash.

Missed the mark

I think, if I had read the book, I might have been a bit more emotional and felt the romance in this story. The narration was awful though and missed every mark along the way. The male narrator had a HORRIBLE woman’s voice. I mean it’s really awful. The reading felt rushed and the depth of emotion was lacking in his reading. The female lacked emotion as well and the sex scenes left a LOT to be desired. The story itself is cute and had some funny moments but after reading the billionaire series I really expected a lot more from this story and felt ZERO butterflies or lovey dovey emotion. I hope the next narration is better in the DR series or I likely won’t even bother reading the last one. I wouldn’t waste a credit on this one though.

it's ok, not great

I like Max Monroe, but this isn't her best work. The relationship seemed rather forced and no built up at all. The sex scenes were not as good as a bunch of others I have read by the same author. I was also annoyed by the terribly inaccurate portrayal of menstrual cups. It is an easy listen, but I wouldn't listen to it if it wasn't included in audible escapes.

Great

This has been one of the funniest books I’ve listened to in a while!! I loved both characters, and the families!! The only downfall would be that Ob/Gyn aren’t allowed in the patients room without a nurse for an exam. But this was a great fun story. I hope the second book is just a good!!

Fantastic narrarators, cute storyline, fun book to listen to! Extra bonus that this is a series.....my favorite!

Great Read

I loved the banter between the two of them, and the storyline. The only thing I disliked was how unrealistically they made him in the show, it’s not that big of a deal but there is way more that could’ve been done/said.

What happens in the supply closet stays there!

Will is always a huge flirt but meets his match when the L/D nurse is hired. Proof a man can change slightly but after all this a HEA not RL as we know! Banter is adorable in the storytelling. Narrative was very good as well!!

Melody, a nurse in this story is so hilarious! Some of her sayings just had me snorting in laughter. Will, the OB in this story is super sweet but a bit clueless at times. And when he falls, he falls HARD!

There are some hard moments of her having to deal with the realities of him being in a reality show. Women shouldn’t have to deal what she has to comes to terms with. She’s a good woman with a kind heart, and wants to help other women.

Overall, it was a great story with fun characters and a good HEA.

The narrators did a good job. I usually don’t care for the male narrator, but he did a great job on this book.
