what a crazy start

I really enjoyed reading this author.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the near future.

Absolutely different from what I usually expect from Max Monroe but certainly just as great. This was a captivating, intriguing and emotional roller coast ride to go on; And I loved every second of it.

This is a definite cliff-hanger. on to book 2. I hate when that happens, didn't you... lol

Meh

I’ve probably read 80% of the books written by MM. I really like their writing style and characters. With that said, this series was a bit flat for me. It’s really a single story wrapped into 3 books instead of 1. I just didn’t connect with Lilly and thought her twin Cami came across as low IQ. If you’re new to MM just know this series is solid but not their best work.

I’m here for book 2!

I loved listening to this story!!!! The chemistry is undeniable. When it ended I couldn’t wait to start book 2.

This first book is full of mystery, drama, and the start of romance. The book starts out with a lot of intrigue and gets more interesting as you go.

Ivy and Levi are so different. An actress and a small town policeman. It’s interesting how their lives cross.

There’s a lot of tension, both emotional and romantic. As more characters enter, things get more complicated and mysterious.

Ends on a cliffhanger, but the next book is locked and loaded.

Narrators do a good job with the characters.

Woah! Hold up now. Wait a darn second.

This was a great listen! Max Monroe wrote this story very well.
That cliff hanger! URGH, now I must get my hands on the next two.

Moody and broken cop with a shield of ice between him and others- check.

Levi is a very layered character with such pent up emotions. With what happened many years ago the cause of what was hurting him; those memories had him stuck on an ongoing loop. This loop, just became more unbearable when he has to relive what happened for a production. He deserves to get a hug.

Ivy, you can tell immediately that she becomes a very genuine person and motivated throughout the book. Between Ivy and Levi's bickering and tension in such a small town, who knows what could happen. The point of views really help bring the story more life.

There is a lot more going on than meets the eyes and I feel like this is going to be some sort of reveal in the next book.

I love that this book has a mystery behind it. It will leave you wanting more because you need to know what Levi is hiding.
