Great characters!
I was really impressed with the addition of Grim (or is it Grimm?). A great look at what could have been if Cal had been raised differently. Can't wait to see what else he has in store for Cal and their game!

Grim
New bad guy = awsome fun, throw in family reunions and it almost enough to make you run for the door of the ninth Circle. This is one of my favorites in the series and totally worth it.

Stunning performances for a stunning book.
Read this book a thousand times. Listening to it is a brand new, very exciting experience. Love the narrator's take on the sassy, snarky Cal. Beautifully done-and I've read the book myself a billion times before getting this audiobook. Will get other Cal audiobooks.

Used to be my favorite series
I think this is the first book in the series I've read in about a decade and maybe the first one I listened to as an audiobook. I'm not sure if it was the story or the narrator, but it came off kind of cringy and Cal is overly edgy to the point of being ridiculous. he reminded me of one of those edgy 20yr olds who collect knives from gas stations.
I still may go on with the next book in the series at some point, but it's definitely not at the top of my list.
