Very Dark

Dominic was quite a character; a troubled dark soul. The book had an interesting storyline; however, if you are bothered by very dark and descriptive sex, you may want to avoid this book. The narrator (Pauley) did a much better job than the previous narrator, it was easy to differentiate between male and female characters. Will listen to the next book in series.

Hang in there

This is definitely not a hero style book. But one of deep emotions,dark realities but there is love and hope that rises from the ashes. You guys have to keep reading 😉

Best of the Benedetti Books

This was the best one because it was so realistic. No fancy words and Dominic remained true to his dark nature, but showed how dark and light, good and bad, love and hate co-exist together in all humans.

Dark, Sexy and Suspenseful

This is not a book for someone looking for a Hallmark Romance. Dominic is dangerously passionate and filled with hate and evil. He and Gia clash with each other from the very beginning and you could tell they would end up together. I was curious about Dominic’s story after he shot his brother and Natasha did not disappoint.

Oh Dominic!

I am a huge fan of dark romance and suspense, and Natasha a knight brought both of these to us with Dominic's story. While listening to Salvatore, I took an interest in the character of Dominic, you could see his tortured soul long before the family secret is revealed. The way he he carried himself, the arrogance, the darkness and his drive were all present, but his heart shine when he was near his daughter. Now in his own book we get to see how dark he really is.

We meet Dominic seven years later, and his new profession brings out his darkest side. Here is where he meets Gia, the one who is completely different from all the other girls he has to train for their life into slavery. Not only has he been attracted to her, he has met his match. Every push he gives, she pulls. As the story builds, and we learn all the players and circumstances, we get see what a strong woman Gia is. I especially love dark, alpha males, but strong women characters to me are a must. Natasha Knight is a master at this, giving her strong male characters equal counterparts. We get to see Salvatore and Lucia again, but I have to say, my favorite scene was with Dominic and Effy. Tears were brought to my eyes! Oh, and I have to mention the hot, sex scenes...scorching!

I listened to this book, and Michael Pauley was the perfect pick. I have heard him narrate a lot of books, and as soon as I saw his name, I knew this was going to be an incredible audio. He brings the darkness through flawlessly and makes you feel every emotion both Dominic and Gia feel. You could not have had a more perfect performance.

Dominic is Dark but loveable

What we saw of Dominic in the first book was a brutal, power hungry rather crazed man. He wanted to be the head of the family so bad, and was bitter about being the last born. After shooting his brother in the first book he takes off. His story here is 7 years later. We see him living a life that he feels he is worthy of. One of a "trainer" of sex slaves about to be sold in auction. While it's not a good life, some good ends up finding its way to him. He meets a woman and they are tied together in more than one way. He finds a purpose, while at first it isn't a good one, its one that will set his life back to a place he always wanted. He finds he can love, and is worthy of love. Is it enough and can he make it work?? Read to find out. All in all I liked Dominics story. I really didn't think I would since I didn't care for him. You get more of a look into him and really feel for his plight. Narration was wonderful!
