maybe wait to binge? but likeable

decent story with great potential but it just leaves you wanting the next book. it's not a story you'd listen to again and again for it's own sake. it's a teaser.

Must Listen Book Highly Recommend

I loved this book on its own, but bringing it to life to all the characters with the three narrators this book was amazing, I fell in love with it all over again.

This is a must have!

I love the book version. It's on my frequently read list. After listening to the audio version, it will definitely be added to my listen again list.

The narration is amazing. It really brought the story to life. I look forward to having the entire series in audio form.

It was ok

This book was ok but it had the potential for more. The best part was Lucas webbly’s narrating. There’s no actual harem going on yet soooo this is a no burn. It’s not multiple POV so that knocks another point off for me. I do however love that it has duet narration. The FMC tries to come off as a kick butt cop but she doesn’t think anything through. I got the next book,I’m hoping she turns into a better cop and sup soon…and that we see some spice 🔥

Great storyline, makes you think about fate and destiny. the more you fight against her the harder we make it on ourselves.

Fantastic!

The voices are perfect, and I love how they used multiple voice actors. They were able to bring the book to life in a way I didn’t get from just read the series. I definitely recommend you buy the audiobook if you liked the series.

Unique

I'm really torn on this review- on the one hand, it's an interesting and unique story line, and the actual writing is really good. The characters are interesting, or could be! But the story really fell short in fleshing out the characters, as it just focused on how the FMC felt, and her internal struggle just got old after the first half dozen times🙄 I'm getting tired of authors that just repeat the same internal dialog over and over, ad nauseum! We got it after the first time, for sure the second!🙄 Also, my biggest complaint about this is probably petty, but it grated on my nerves like sandpaper after awhile having to hear the words Arch Nephilim EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE!!! O.M.G!!! I swear, by the halfway point,I just wanted it to be OVER so I didn't have to hear those words again! And again, and again, and again!!! Aghhh!!! The author made a HUGE mistake not giving that character a name, or even a nickname! It was sooo irritating that I didn't even want to finish and couldn't concentrate on the plot! At the end of the audio book they played an excerp from the next one and she was back to her whiney internal dialog again, same old same old! I will NOT be continuing this series, sorry! The narration was good though, I really like the dual narration. My only complaint there was them mispronouncing Arch Nehilim,ironically 😂😂😂

Cute Story

This could have been awesome, but it seems a bit more young romance than adult.

The performance of the characters was decent, I liked having both a male and female read for the different characters. The storyline though was meh...could of been a lot worse I guess but wasn’t great. Maybe this was just because it was building up to something more happening in the second book/rest of series but I still feel like this first installment could have been a lot stronger.

I couldn’t finish

I started this book because I had previously listened to a narration with Lucas webley and LOVED it. This one, not so much. He wasn’t bad but I couldn’t get past the other voices. Just not my cup of tea.
