Do you or someone you know struggle with dependent personality disorder? Maybe you just want to learn more about the disorder and some different ways you can help treat it. Regardless of what brought you to this book, I’m glad you're here, because there’s lots to discover.
It was honestly hard for me to write this book, as I do feel like I’ve overcome a lot to be where I am today. Some of the stories I share are embarrassing for me to admit, but my goal is that my story helps someone else out. I am glad that I persevered and did it, and now here are some of the things that I’m excited to share with you:

This relationship can cause anxiety or shame that keeps one from focusing on one’s own needs and desires. It can also lead one to feel entitled and jealous when the codependent partner doesn’t share some priority they perceive themselves to have in their life. Codependency can be characterized by having an attitude of “shoulding” on another person. Communicating this self-perceived problem can lead to an improved relationship between the two people involved.
