kept me interested because it was a different topic and I had to find out what was going to happen next.

was sad because they talked about women being captured and being sold and I was glad the ending was happy and they were able to get away

Another great listen/read

Just a great story. Move over Jack Reacher. Give this author a chance and get lost in the twists and turns.

Great story

I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end! It was romantic and had thrilling twists.

Loved it!

This was a little bit of a different listen to me but between the romantic suspense and action in the storyline, I couldn’t stop listening.

Action and romance

Spoilers? I like the action and the silly romance. Real issue brought up child soldiers, sex trafficking are serious issues that keeping the world aware is important. There was tears and a heartstring for a lost activist. Happy predictable ending for mains helps make reading about real issues easier in this story. It is a mix m glad was done and would recommend.

suspense, humor, conflict, agonizing await

what an amazing book! I thrived and hanged on every chapter. so enticing and full of great plot turns, background information, character development, full of survival start to end. brynn kelly is an amazing author!

best one yet!

I've listened to two other Brynn Kelly titles that I enjoyed, but I think this one is the best because I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen next. I gave the story four stars instead of a higher rating since the main female person made a colossally stupid mistake that seemed out of line with how intelligent her character had been up to that point. I know it was a device to move the plot forward, and I'm not sure how I would have tackled it because I'm not a writer, but it just didn't seem to go with the rest of the character. Overall, I highly recommend this title.

Pretty good

I went down a rabbit hole of her books lately and this one was just okay. It did keep my attention and I could follow the storyline but it just didn’t captivate me like her other ones have . Over all good listen just not amazing

Romance and suspense? Yes please

This was such an interesting and different storyline. It covered some really heavy, current issues, and I was along for the ride. Some of the dialogue scenes were a little drawn out, but all in all a great story with a great narrator. I’m off now, to listen to some more Brynn Kelly!
