Don't be fooled by how juvenile this story appears on the surface... it's a fun ride.
Good character development, good plot, well written action sequences, good level of snark and trash-talk. This has gotten to be one of my favorite series. Hope it continues... I'll keep buying it.

Best characters around!
Funny, smart, easy to follow. Just another great installment in this series. Highly recommend for traders looking for a long book series.

Keep the series going
This was another great book in a great series. Author continues to develop characters and story lines to grow and move forward. Character interaction is very good. The action is top notch. This is a really good series. Give it a try. You will not be sorry.

Love the series, but it’s better when they’re together.
The best thing about this series is the interactions of the crew, so when they’re all split up like this, a lot of the listening is pretty meh.

Best in SiFi Space adventure
I’ve gotten every book in the series and love every single one. It is refreshing to not have gore, violence and sex be the main plot line. Just good ol story telling and dialogue that kept me into it and made me laugh out loud. These bunch of weird ass fictional characters are the best crew - real, generous and petty, friendly and mean, lazy and stoic all at the same time. If you have a teen - this series is a great introduction to SiFi and future of human race as space explorers as well as some great life’s lessons about honor, friendship, courage and price of peace,

Fanboy review
I love this series and have been eagerly anticipating this book and I wasn't disappointed. Paul Heitsch is masterful as usual, it is hard to believe so many distinct sounding personalities all come from one person. As for the story, I had fun as always. Some of the over arching plot lines were advanced, and there was the usual boom boom explody fun. The characters are great as always and the interactions between the crew often caused me to laugh out loud, which is one of the things I love about the series
