Bad narration.

The story was cute, much like the one before it but what nearly ruined it for me was the narrator. He gave all the characters such an awful, over exaggerated New York accent and it was super annoying to listen to. I have an inability to leave a story unfinished so I powered through it anyway, but be warned!

love the story HATE the narration.

I really enjoy Cara Bastones books, but this one was difficult listen to. The narrator makes every female and child sound like they have speech impediments. Having listened to another book with the same characters, narrated well, made this even more difficult. Please use a different narrator in the future!

Sorry but…..

I love the book but was not crazy about the narrator. I am sorry but his women voices were atrocious!

Another well written Bastone book!

I struggled with the first 90 minutes, primarily from the narrator, but then the story overruled that issue. And then I enjoyed it to the very end, enjoying it more and more with each passing page.

Maybe with a different narrator?

It’s a cute story but I had a hard time with the character of Fin. Her personality seemed incongruous with the plot of the story. However, it might be because all I could picture was Matthew McConaughey in drag. The narrator was great as Tyler but not so much as any of the female characters. Why did the female Brooklyn accent sound like baby-talk? It was off-putting. Overall, a cute story but you might want to read this one instead of listening.

His voice was spot on for the mature men but hard to swallow for the females and children. If you can look past that its a sweet romance.

Fun listen

While I really enjoyed the story I preferred Patrick Zeller from the first book of the series.

Just wow!

I love Cara Bastone and wasn’t sure how the narration would go with a male narrator only.
I was pleasantly surprised! The narration and 3rd party view was great. The change in voices, intonation and emotion was palpable. Definitely a must listen to AGAIN!
Cara Bastone’s imagery and analogies were amazing! A book with every emotion and real laugh out loud moments!
