The inconsistencies kill me
Nothing like feeling like you’re being gaslit because details change as if the author forgot what they wrote previously. WHO edits these?? How were all those inconsistencies missed?! I could give examples from all throughout the series… first she got her first car in Normal from the church then she got it from Joel’s garage. Then she had 3 siblings in one book then suddenly she only had 2. And in that book Mae and the girls meet Barbara in the church (who is Bobby Ray’s ex’s daughter) and I’m pretty sure she was a teen, then in the very next book Mae acts as if she never met Barbara and now she’s 11?? Overall the books are entertaining and Johanna always does a wonderful job. The inconsistency is insulting though.

Love this series
I love this series. Fun, and lighthearted mysteries. Feels like it will keep going and going, but in a good way. I will be sad when i reach the end

the characters different personalities
the mysteries are more difficult to guess who the killer is. I love that. it's unpredictable and wonderful.

The plot
I live these books so much and uave grow attached to them. I always turn on Netflix to watch it and remember its a book it gives my mind so much to work with i wish they would actually make a tv show about this!! I love all the characters and they all have such profound depth to there characters that you feel like you are actually seeing them. Overall definitely recommend!

Sleeping
If you are having trouble sleeping then listen to one of these stories. They’re so mindless, and the narrator has such a soothing voice, you’ll go right to sleep.
