Great Listen

WOW! My fourth read, and first full-length read, from entertaining author Traci Andrighetti. As good as the shorts were this one was outstanding! Characters so well-developed that by this time you feel like you know them and are invested in them. Narrator Madeline Mrozek adds greatly to the listening enjoyment. I'd previously read this book on my Kindle and the Audible version was very much worth the re-read because of her. I was given an Audible edition of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I need to get more books in this series by this outstanding author.

Franki is not ready to chase REAL Vampires

Franki Amato is living her life as a PI in New Orleans. Things are going well. Her and her partner are solving cases. She has a wonderful boyfriend...that her family wants her to get a proposal from. She doesn't expect the next cases to be based around Vampires. Traci begins investigating murders based at blood banks around NOLA. All the evidence keeps leading to possible vampires and their history in the city. While the case has her unnerved, her Grandmother and brother move in to her small apartment. Her brother is supposed to be creating a life in NOLA too, but he conveniently seems to just be enabled by Nonna. Nonna is intent on getting Franki engaged, so she resorts to Italian traditions. As always, Traci Andrighetti creates a keep you guessing mystery with lots of laughs. Since she is living with Franki, we get to see more of Nonna than the occasional phone call. She is such a great character. I really can't wait to see where Franki's next adventure takes her. Love the narrator! Easy to understand change of person. Intonation perfect based on situation.

Wonderful romp through the NOLA vampire scene. Like this story best, so far. One more to go.

QUIRKY CHARACTERS FUNNY DIALOG

The voice of Madeline Mrozek brought this story to life, the different voices were very well done. The plot was descriptive of the characters and a great funny dialog. Franki Amato is a joy in this series. She is a PI from New Orleans where the unusual is a normal there.
Fast moving plot with quirky characters, unusual interesting plots, that came to life with the voice of Madeline Mrozek, definitely worth reading and listening to. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

This audiobook was a total blast!

Private Chicks Investigation are hired this time by the main suspect in a series of ‘bloody’ crimes in New Orleans. First, the blood banks are targeted, but when a frat boy appears dead in a cemetery with his blood drained, Franki starts to think she may be out of her depth. In a city where anything could be possible, Franki may need to face not only real vampires but also her own fears.

This audiobook was a total blast! It was really fun to be a witness of Franki’s investigation and doubts along the way. There were some peculiar characters and situations that made this a very enjoyable listen. The story got me hooked from the beginning and I kept me wondering about who the murderer could be. I didn’t find out in advance about the killer, being the story quite complicated and with many characters. Apart from the mystery in question, Franki needs to deal with some issues in her relationship with Bradley, and receives the visit of her brother and the ‘nonne’, a group of old women led by her grandmother, keen on resolving Franki’s love life once and for all.

I really liked the story but my favorite part of this audiobook was its narration. Madeline Mrozek did an excellent job bringing the characters to life with brilliant interpretations and providing a different style and voice for each character. Following dialogs was a breeze, and the book was definitely richer thanks to Mrozek’s narration.

Franki Amato Mysteries series is definitely worth a listen for anyone into cozy mysteries.

fantastic!! the narrator is highly talented as she brings the characters to life in this story of crazy Italian family, a love that hits snags and vampires! you'll chuckle and gasp as the storyline sweeps you up into a world of Italian craziness!!

Truly a great book

This is my first book from this author and I am hooked. The storyline was great. the mystery was great, the romance was great, every thing was great! The narrator did a wonderful job of portraying each character and in getting the listener into the story. I highly recommemd this book to mystery lovers and those that love a little romance in your story this is for you too.
