Ryuoma's past
It seems like Ryuoma's past why he acts the way he acts around others. for instance, the last book we know he was targets for his lymore birds by the beast guild insurgents. Ryuoma would bet them up and heal them and afterwards the Gimal authorities would take them away to do hard time. It was touched upon, but thorough explained why. This book reveals why more in depths and links it to his old life.

Different the average book
Loved how the story took a turn and instead of killing they choose a harder part showing that when people are bad it’s usually circumstances and not what they originally wanted/choose, also a sign of how when people are nice it’s easier to take advantage of them

I kind of felt like The guild Master was just like really preachy like they don't mind the kid living by himself inside of a mine or send him to fight big monsters but then they get all preachy about him fighting by himself

Slower but nice
