this book was alot more political than in the first book. I didn't mind it held my attention. Good inbetween book. I'm curious on how the rest of the series is going to go. I'm not totally invested and obsessed with any of the characters but I still enjoyed this story.

Needed more romance, however.....
I still wish it had more romance but the action held me so captivated I hardly noticed. A few more curse words but far and few between and no sex which, I freakin wish they would! I loved the secondary characters as well. They made me laugh! Also, so far no love triangle otherwise I would stop reading.

Finally a female character that isn't whiny! The authors did wonderfully! It's not full of sex scenes, but a dance between the two. Both wanting more, and yet, the story must evolve further! Onto book 3!

Definitely not the expected tropes
So much fun exploring and collecting the cast of characters around Quinn. Love this narrative and the narrator as well. The ending is not a cliff hanger but it's definitely hot and hard
