Another Materpiece!

Not a single volume so far has disappointed. Parsneau's performance is mind bogglingly consistent and fantastic, as always. Rhaegar's books are seriously one of my favorite. I hungrily await book 5.

Great

The fourth book was magnificent, continue to enjoy the series, plenty of action and growth. Lots of great historical backstory developed. Look forward to more.

Brilliant story. Best book so far

Slow leveling and would be nice if side characters had more growth and where more involved in the main story.

The main character is amazing and doesn't have a submissive bone in her body

This is by far the best audiobooks I have come across, loved every second of it and it is so well balanced its insane. the only review i have don i can't quit thinking about this series i'm going to listen to it again and i never listen to an audiobook twice.

Where’s the next book??????

Was a great book and I’m looking forward to book 5 . Mc is strong but not op and I’m liking it.

Good & Bad (no spoilers)

It is clear to me that either the author reads the comments here or their editor was replaced because a lot of the bad elements were removed after book 3.

The Good:
- The sense of danger and story progression is present in this book as opposed to the last one where it felt like Ilea was never in serious harm due to her recovery.
- The *DINGS* and "and so on" thankfully appear far less in this book than book 3.
- Ilea has a new avenue in terms of power progression and I'm interested to see how it plays out.
- Violence is a good boy.
- The lore drop at the end is very interesting and I want to see more.

The Bad:
- Okay as I said in my book 3 review but this book suffers from a lack of a strong overarching plot. Yes, there is lore that makes sense and Ilea has met some powerful creatures but because Ilea has no real goals outside of "eat, fight, sleep, and adventure" it seems like she is more of a tool for accomplishing other peoples stories which can be a bit tiring.
- There are times when Ilea's lack of care towards her friends for the sake of fighting is not just questionable but negligent. She will talk about protecting her friends and needing the power to do so just to turn around and abandon them in dangerous scenarios to level up. I understand her character traits/flaws are what cause this but it is still a tad frustrating considering certain situations.

Overall, it is a nice return to form after book 3 being a bit of a letdown and I don't think anyone would be disappointed by this installment. I personally would like to see a bit plot development more in the next book but still I recommend the series.

this genre new to me...I can't stop listening to this series!

Engaging writing and character development...so fun! i am new to LitPRG and it is addictive! i can't wait for the next book... and this one just came out!

I crave more

It makes me want more. The adventure could go forever and should. I really want to find out about Earth.

Voice acting is amazing

Seriously one of the best narrations the range of characters make listening to this very enjoyable and clear with the difference in voice. Amazing talent

Love it and hate it

I love the book but what gets a bit irritating is how often the characters get so emotional all the time. Not every interaction has to be a heart felt emotional one, and I still don’t like the humor but it’s bearable. Other than that great book I would recommend.
