After he's told his father died during the Battle at Lynsteen Pass, he is mentored by his father's best friend, Warrick the Wizard.

But something strange happens when Warrick has to suddenly disappear for a secret task that will change Caldor's future forever. While out hunting he feels something that can only be described as a 'Spark'. Finally, getting what he's always dreamed of, Caldor must deal with the reality of being an Adventurer and try not to drown against the sudden overwhelming responsibility that so many wish to thrust upon him.

The politics, secret maneuverings, and responsibilities are abound, but Caldor just wants to be a simple adventurer. Join him as he gives it his best shot.

Wyrd's battle between Order and Chaos!

Interesting book with a twist.

I liked the pacing in this book, i found it more interesting. This book didnt ramble on, or get sidetracked with a bunch of filler. I found the story more compeling and found it easier to follow.

It is a good balance .

The main character is not overpowered. The progression of the main character is also done well.

Just one more book to go.

This series is pretty darn great.
If you've been following this series you will definitely want to get this book. I think it's even better than the last one.
Will we ever find out if the MC's dad is still alive?
If the corrupt Duke, or whatever he is, is going to get away with his evildoings?
Fun NON Harem series.
I'm looking forward to the next and final book in the series.

excellent book and series

I really enjoyed this book and have enjoyed the series thus far. it was left on a pretty big cliffhanger so I can't wait for the next one.

if you love the others you will live this but I will say this was an ending I didn't see coming. can't wait for 6.

Loved this whole series- Doesn’t disappoint

Felt like it ended too quickly. But that is the sign of a great book. Can’t wait to listen to the final book.

Great book

This is another great one in the series. I hate that the next book is going to be the last in saying that I still can’t wait for the next one to come out.

He is found, but different

I was thrilled with the ending, Caldor finds who he has been looking for since he found out he might be alive. The battle with the house lord was pretty great, too. So much happened in this book, and I think it was the shortest so far. I can't wait to read the conclusion.

Good effort but more disjointed than his previous books.

The story started to drag, found myself wanting to skip some scenes. Not bad but not his best.
