This is a great entry in the genre. Definitely written by a boomer, which comes across in a number of ways.
The series has great characters with a rich depth. 'Hero' characters are realistic and the villains (one in particular) are evil in a very believable way. The world building is fair, with good descriptions of the immediate areas in which the story takes place. Relationships are well written and satisfying. Language is PG, though the violence is a hard R. There's some boomer. Overall, I'd recommend it.

Great storyline
I recommend it as a great read/listen to. It was easy to visualize as the story progressed.

Good story. Just give it a chance.
I read some reviews that they couldn't hear the narrator, but I didn't find that to be the case. He does have a softer voice, but even with a lot of background noise I didn't have an issue hearing with airpods in. I'll admit after a few chapters I almost stopped and was thinking it might not be for me. There were a few firearm details that bothered me, but they weren't deal breakers. Hang in there and once the story gets rolling it kept my interest through all 4 books. Plenty of adventure, action, prepping, community, and evil people to deal with. I feel the performance got even better as I went through the books. In the end I really enjoyed the story and found it to be very believable.

No last book
It was engaging but left you wanting a last book, l looked in several places without finding anything.

Good series
I liked the story, narration was good but hard to follow at times. Theme was great but got a little out there at times.

Just ok
An ok book. I listen to a lot of these. This book never really got me that all enthused. The story was kinda bland. Maybe just me.
