A Beautiful Story!

I pre-ordered this so long ago I forgot it was coming. It was such a beautiful surprise to read though; just like everything else I get from this writer, I got it and could not put it down! Reading it was like a movie; I wish I had a book club to discuss it with! BRAVA!

Ground shaking story of all phases of love

Tia so eloquently displayed the many faces of love from familial to romantic to agape. The hint of magic & supernatural roots of the black culture was both ideal and raw. Phenomenal read with a few twists to keep you engaged, a little anxiety to keep you on your feet , & a reassured ending. One of my new favorites. A modern classic.

Harlem Love Story With A Voodoo Twist

Tia Williams does it again! This novel was captivating from beginning to end. Never predictable, it was a joy to listen to. In the beginning, I didn’t understand why the reader was taken back to the Harlem Renaissance, but the anticipated answer was only a few chapters away, and worth the suspense. I highly recommend this Harlem love story with a voodoo twist.

Omg! From the beginning this story pulls you in! It was so good I couldnt put the phone down. I listened to it every chance I got and didnt want it to end. Its a love story that has you rooting for the characters until the very end! Tia!! Youve done it again!!

The sprinkling of historical facts, and between beautiful love story unforgettable. Each character was so well written. I felt like I knew them especially Miss Della.
