Waiting on my DCU acceptance letter…
I loved everything about this book! I just wish I could read it again for the first time!! I agree with another reviewer that this is “like Twilight and Harry Potter if Hogwarts was an HBCU”. I have my speculations about who the mystery person is but I’ll hold off to see if I’m right. I was able to get this audiobook in addition to the ebook. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get book on audiobook as soon as it’s released. Great performance by both narrators. I’d also love to get the physical copies. Highly recommended!!!

Ms. Granger is extremely skilled at world building. I was so thoroughly immersed in her description of the magical hbcu Drew Collins University, that i had flashbacks of my college days from the cliques to the greek life to the elitism of some hbcu grads. The reason why this book lost a star is because who reveals the big plot in the last 2 pages of the book??? There was no guiding direction for 99% of the book. Enjoyable? Yes, but I want more from a book one, and not for it to feel like a prequel.
