A Different Direction For A Solar Event

This book was a decent look into a solar event that followed a different path than the typical SHTF story. It was worth the credit and Bronson Pinchot provided an excellent narration!

Magnificent!

A thoroughly terrifying, and very well researched novel of the end of the world not as we know it but truly the end of all life on earth - all within 48 hours. So realistic because it is based on possible facts.
Given this death sentence, this story reveals how people in different walks of life choose to face the last hours, from the US President to everyday working people. Very thoughtfully written and thought provoking. Bronson Pinchot perfectly sets the mood and urgency of the time given for each situation. He is one of the great narrators.
This book should be required reading for everyone and a pleasure to do so. I was glued to this book. You will be too!

Not a fan of the plot.

I am a fan of William Forstchen. I loved "One Second After", "One Year After" was OK.

48 Hours story is OK but lacks what 1 Second After had.

the screaming of the narrator

story was ok but got a bit bogged down as it went on...I enjoyed narration till the screaming began. in an attempt to convey anger etc the narrator would scream out the words which I found extremely jarring and of putting.just to much for my taste.

Overacting Narration

I did enjoy the book but sadly it was overshadowed by the poor narration. I will probably purposely avoid book narrated by him here on out.

48 Hours

I’ve read Williams 3 previous books and when I recently heard his interview on Coast to Coast with George Norry I knew I needed to get this book.
William excels in creating the scene and flow of his masterpieces. When I listen to his books I believe I am one of his characters living the role page after page. 48 Hours is an excellent book for anyone who’s not afraid of the truth and lives their lives open to realistic possibilities and, in my belief probabilities.

More spellbinding than One Second After

Thought provoking novel illustrating the moral dilemmas facing ourselves as individuals, communities, a nation and as humans on a small planet filled with unnecessary political turmoils when real solutions to inevitabilities of nature require action.

This yet again from this author is a foreshadowing, that if this type of event were to happen quite shockingly I believe this story would be a very accurate description. Excellent story and rather well put together detail of knowledge/information. Highly recommended read/listen.

Great story

Much of the reading was muffled and almost unintelligible. From what I could understand it gave me a lot to think about...what if!

Not my favorite from this author.

The story was slow unnecessarily. Could’ve been concluded in an hour. The “After” series was much better.
