As an Asian woman myself, I was excited to listen to this audiobook. I loved learning about these amazing women in Asian history, many of whom I did not know of before I listened to this book. These 10 women that the author talks about in Volume 1 are brave, courageous and inspirational, so for anyone looking to expand their knowledge while at the same time wanting to be inspired, this book is worth checking out. My only minor issue was that I could hear some extra background noise (paper? extra mouth noises? not sure) as the author narrates her book. Other than that, great book!

The fact that this book is so unique says a lot about the value. The women described in this book are phenomenal and definitely not something taught in traditional history books. Each story of the 10 women was impeccably written. I especially appreciated the authors input on the correct pronunciation of names. This is a great listen even if you don’t need it as a reference or for a school project.
