Jeffrey Abugel has been an editor and writer for more than 35 years. He is a graduate of New York University and is the author, with Daphne Simeon MD, of Feeling Unreal, the seminal work on Depersonalization Disorder. He has researched and written about depersonalization and its relationship to philosophy, literature and spirituality since living with the condition for more than a decade. He is a member of the American Medical Writers' Association and founder of the nonprofit Initiative for Depersonalization Studies (IDS).
