I decided to write this book once I had become sober back in January 2019 after drinking alcohol for 40 years. My alcohol intake got to such a level that I was drinking a litre of vodka a night until I blacked out. Once sober, I started up my Instagram page @soberdave and soon realised so many people were struggling the same, and by sharing my story of re-discovery I became aware that it was helping others to look at their own relationship with alcohol. My top ten podcast called "One for the Road" is a compilation of life stories with an array of people who have struggled with alcohol. I am now a full time grey area drinking coach, a speaker and an Ambassador and Training Associate for Alcohol Change Uk. I am so proud to publish my very first book. It is part memoir, self help and of course motivational. My passion is to spread the word throughout the world to break the shame and stigma surrounding this highly addictive drug, the only one you have to justify not taking.
