Cheska Anderson understands pain all too well. After ending a long-distance relationship with a toxic partner, she was struck with self-doubt and anxiety. Her turbulent past started as a long-distance relationship with a seemingly charming man in her early 30s. At first, he was everything she dreamed of—smart, funny, and warm. However, his attitude changed and he became progressively abusive. He became possessive, obsessive, jealous, and controlling. Anderson lost her confidence and self-worth and began isolating herself. Then, she felt an awakening and decided to end the relationship. He didn't take it well. First, he tried pleading for her not to leave him, but when she refused, he yelled and called her names. Still, Anderson was indifferent. She felt dead inside. After ending the relationship, she expected to feel free and happy. Instead, she felt depressed and anxious. A year later, Anderson realized that he still had power over her. She started her journey toward healing and succeeded in becoming free and finding joy in the present moment. Today, she is happily married to the love of her life, celebrating this new chapter in her life every day. Her story is an inspiration to anyone who has a troubled past and wishes to become free and find healing
