Acerca de esta escucha

18-year-old Scott Keating knows a whole world exists beyond his parents' strict control. But until he gains access to the World Wide Web, he really has no idea what's out there. In a chat room Scott meets "JeffUK". Jeff loves and understands him, and when he offers to bring Scott to the UK, Scott seizes his chance to escape his humdrum life and see the world. But when his plane touches down and Jeff isn't there, panic sets in.

Collars and Cuffs' favorite barman and dom-in-training, Ben Winters, drops his sister off at the airport and finds a lost, anxious Scott. Hearing Scott's story sets off alarm bells, along with his protective instincts. Taking pity on the naïve boy, Ben offers him a place to crash and invites him to Collars and Cuffs, hoping his bosses will know how to help. Scott dreams of belonging to someone, heart and soul. Ben longs for a sub of his own. And neither man sees what's right under his nose.

Nick Russo's performance highlights this finely detailed story. The characters come alive in this realistic BDSM themed novel with 80% emotional / 20% sexual content, roughly speaking :-) I enjoyed seeing Ben and Scott mature by way of their "chance" relationship and — having spent some time as a sub myself — resonate with much of what was revealed. Good stuff!

It takes a strong man to submit

What made the experience of listening to Someone to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

The fact that money was NOT the focus of the submissive.

What did you like best about this story?

The HEA ending

Have you listened to any of Nick J. Russo’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

voices are good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

Any additional comments?

I love the way you get to check on the past characters and see how they are doing!

I felt so sorry for the submissive

the voice for Ben and Scott was rather fitting... however.. for a book based in England only 2 characters (Ben and Peter) had non-American accents... and the one that really threw me was Master Thomas... why did he sound like Kermit rhe Frog??? it was jarring when he'd go to speak and I'd mentally link him with Miss Piggy instead of Peter!!

i love this book but...

Someone to Keep Me is book 3 in the Collars and Cuffs series. I love this book. Scott has been talking to Jeff online and when Jeff sends him a plane ticket to England to meet him, Scott jumps at the opportunity. He's 18 and can't wait to get away from his controlling parents. When Scott gets to England Jeff is nowhere to be found, but thankfully Ben had been there at the airport dropping off his sister. Ben rescues Scott and takes him under his wing. I love how the other subs befriend Scott and make him part of the family almost instantly. It's a bit of a rough road for Scott and Ben but they get their happy ending. If you enjoy D/s stories you don't want to miss this one or this series. Definitely recommend
Narrator Nick J. Russo does an absolutely amazing job in bringing these characters to life.

I was a little bit disappointed in the story it seemed like they were both too whiny. didn't feel like the charters were thought all the way out nor the plot

Love this series. This is book three and was a great addition to this amazing series. This story is about Scott and Ben and was so good. Ben is a Dom and he needs a sub and Scott just wants to belong and be loved by someone. This two are perfect together. Loved there story can’t wait for more. The narration was great.

Stunning

Someone To Keep Me is a bit different than the first two books. Scott is so young. He 18 and very sheltered, insecure and I had to say needy. Ben struggles with what he wants in regards to Scott. He sees his lack of financial security as him being a lackluster Dom. I enjoyed the training scenes and seeing Scott’s jealousy. The birthday scene is probably one of my favorites in the series. Nick did a good job with the narration, although I’m not a fan of his voice for Ben...Scott was perfectly voiced though.

Another good addition to the series

The third book in the Collars and Cuffs series, Parker Williams joins K.C. Wells in writing Someone to Keep Me. As a huge fan of their Secrets series, the combination of these two authors really works for me. The result here is a truly lovely hurt/comfort romance.

One of my favorite aspects of Parker Williams’ writing is his skill in crafting a deep and honest connection between his characters. What makes me a true fan of K.C. Wells is her ability to showcase her characters’ connections through their physical interactions. Like peanut butter and chocolate, they’re both great tastes that taste great together - just don’t ask me to reveal which one’s which *wink*.

Seriously though, there’s a great story in Someone to Keep Me. Two characters who come together and complete each other beautifully. There are some hints of terrible possibilities at the start of the novel, which propels the series, and thankfully it all works out well for our guys.

The audio version is performed by Nick J. Russo, who does a great job with the extensive variety of accents in this novel. There are also several female voices which Mr. Russo does quite well. His smooth, youthful, melodic voice is the perfect compliment to the Collars and Cuffs series and I’m looking forward to the next one!

What made the experience of listening to Someone to Keep Me the most enjoyable?

I just adore the story. It is one that I will continue to listen to over and over again. I love the dynamics of Thomas and Leo and Alex and Peter. I want to have dinner with all of them. They are my fictional family for sure.

What did you like best about this story?

It makes the club look normal. The way the boys play is fun. It's not over-the-top. There are actual limits and I trust the author to keep that steady.

Which scene was your favorite?

Of course the scene was when Joe asked the boy to strip. Nailbiting!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh God I hate the mother and father so when they showed up I think I just knew and start bawling. I suppose I would've cried more about Ben's mom but the author didn't really make it that big of a deal. I think I expected more from that.

KC did it again!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Someone to Keep Me?

When Ben finally gets his head out of his rear and goes to get Scott.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I cried a couple of times. Scott had such low self esteem and the way he thought people viewed him was heartbreaking.

The series just gets better with each book
