About this listen

After being jilted by her fiancé, Autumn Maguire uses her nonrefundable honeymoon tickets to explore Paris on her own. Eager to experience the true bohemian lifestyle, she answers an ad for an artist's model. But when she exchanges her clothes for the artist's lush red cloak, something strange happens.

A feeling of intense sensual reawakening overcomes her. Suddenly, lightning strikes, and through the power of black magic, she's thrust back into the 19th century, where the scandalous painter Paul Borquet is insisting she become his Titian-haired muse. Between everyone's strange clothing, the claustrophobic Parisian streets, and the overpowering pull of sexual desire, Autumn can't process - just where the heck is she, and how did she get here? And frankly, with Paul's expert caresses imprinted on her body, does she really care about going back to the present day?

Critic reviews

"If this were chocolate, it would be whatever the richest, most decadent piece you've ever consumed....And that, in a nutshell, is what this book is: decadent." ( PNR Reviews)

I tried, I really did. I made it through some 8 or 10 hours of this thing. And it's still terrible. Lots of lacivious daydreaming that is truly not interesting, plot is lacking, and that narrator is just painful. I keep listening, thinking I should care what happens to our "heroine". Cringe. Avoid this thing - there's better ways to spend your commute.

oh but it's bad. just terrible.

Although of course I expected a rather light book, and did expect the graphic erotic descriptions, I found them only sexually graphic and not erotic. And the book was too light; that is, not very interesting because you didn't care at all about the main character. The storyline was thin, and it would have been much more interesting if the modern day woman with real imperfections were transported as she is into Paris a century (or whatever) ago, and come to the recognition that she doesn't have to be anorexic (or even just "perfect") to be beautiful and sexy. Instead, she is transformed into a "perfect" woman. I also did not finish listening to the book.

too light, sexual but not very erotic

I did not like this story. It was hard to keep up with the story one minute the lady was in Paris the next she was in old Paris. There was some good steamy places.

The narrator of this book has a wonderful, rich voice that I enjoyed listening to. However, the content of the book was far more sexually graphic than I was expecting. I ordered it because the premise sounded fun. A modern day woman is transported back to 18th century Paris and falls in love. The text had the characters going from one graphic sexual scene to another, with little else in between. If you enjoy listening to erotica than I suspect you would find this book entertaining. It was not to my taste and I chose not to listen to the 2nd part of the book.

Not what I was expecting

If this book had pictures it would be pure pornographic. The problem with this is that it lends very little to the story line, which is what caught my attention, and gears more toward sexual acts. Some folks may find this book to be to their likening, but it needed more character than this. I don't mind a little sexuality in my romance books, but I need romance to be the dominant feature.

Pure Erotica

Would you consider the audio edition of Naughty Paris to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed this audio version because of the narrator stated at the beginning of the recording as Elle Sedgewick ?sp? perhaps that's an AKA for the site named Suzanne Toren? or vice versa ... either way, she did an excellent job of bringing this playful erotica to life, providing an individual voice for each of the multiple characters ...

Any additional comments?
