About this listen

An incubus who feeds off the sexual desires of others, Roth de Lis has never been denied the pleasure of a woman's body...until now. Lilah, once a warrior maiden in the service of a goddess, languishes on earth after being cast out from the slopes of Mount Olympus.

Lilah will do anything to return home, including betraying Roth. As she spins her web of lies, Roth begins a slow, wicked seduction that eventually threatens to consume them both. But when Lilah's deceit comes to light, will their torrid love affair be able to overcome a pact with the darkest of gods?

Excellence!

Celia Aaron knows just how to tease you without boring you. This book was much less sexual than I had anticipated. Heck, I kind of thought it might be closer to porn with the concept of an incubus being the main attraction here. I was wrong though, and I'm kind of glad I was. I love books with a ton of naughty scenes, but the way this one was written fit it better than that would have. The characters were wonderfully fleshed out and I felt for both of them, cheered for them, and felt anger when others harmed them. It was a gripping story with so much anticipation built up, but it was well worth the wait because when they get together it's explosive! I highly recommend this one, I really enjoyed listening to it.

Interesting

Roth, I really liked how respectable Roth was throughout the book. There are many times that the males will give off the bad boy persona, being an ass or being arrogant while still wanting to snag their love interest. From beginning until end Roth was upfront and honest about his intentions, his wants, his past, and so forth. How many times do we see guys so well written?

Lilah, once a warrior maiden is doing all that she can to get back in the good graces of her "mother." I really did have an issue with any main character, they were both very life like and it appeared that although they were immortal they weren't immune to getting hurt or even dying.

The ending is what bothered me, everything seemed a little rushed and not as drawn out as it could have been. Lilah and the reasoning behind her no longer being a warrior maiden was quickly explained away, which had me rolling my eyes. The quick confession from the goddess seemed to have left no room for arguments, which drops the ending from fabulous to okay.

Otherwise a enjoyable read.

Great Read!!!!!!

I loved this book couldn't put it down. Lilah is a warrior Maiden for the goddes Artemins from the forgotten Forest of Olympus. When Lilah met the Farrow the wolf everything change for because she broke one of the rules. After Lilah was cast off she set to look for Liatra the Oracle of Delphi for answers on how to get back to the Forest of Olympus and to her sisters. After she left the Oracle she went to find The Bloody One Ares to make a deal with him, but if she didn't complete his task she would die. Lilah went to Paris and started looking for Roth de Lis the Incubus to complete her task, but after spending time with each other they started to have feelings for one another. When Lilah knew she couldn't complete the task she decided to turn herself to Ares and be his slave for ever, but Roth would do anything to get her back even if it killed him.

Sexy supernaturals

Sexy and fun. Great and captivating story. Wonderful characters. Full of excitement.
My only criticism is that the accents between the narrators weren’t even close. From his backstory, I think Roth was supposed to be Italian, but neither of the narrators’s accents for him portrayed that at all. That was just a little distracting. Otherwise, I kinda loved the story. Brian’s voice for his Incubus was fantastic!

Paranormal Potluck

Can’t get past some of the misdirect with the mythology. The story was ok,mildly entertaining. The narration was eh,I think I remember the female narrator from another story, she sounds like she’s improved some, but her voice is so young sounding that it’s hard to picture an adult, serious female. The male narrator has a nice, deep, sexy voice, perfect for the character Roth, but a little too.....I don’t know, but the easy flow just wasn’t there. He’d be perfect once he gets the narrative flow going smoothly.Great voice.

Paranormal from a dark erotica queen

First of all, Brian Pallino’s voice gave me goosebumps (the good kind 😉)

I think this is my first paranormal book by Celia Aaron. I enjoyed some of her dark erotica books and the blurb seemed interesting to me. Although it was fun to have the Greek gods I had to study in high school make an appearance in a romance book, the story wasn’t very exciting and I never felt the connection between the main characters.

Sorry

I tried three times to get into this book. Narrator was fine, I just could not get into this book. If you have insomnia then listen to this, it’ll put you to sleep. Yawn.
