I’m locked in a war that’s not of my making, and I’m tied to a destiny I have no say in. For someone like me, Brennan O’Donnelly represents something intangible - safety. A single promise unlocks options I didn’t dare dream of possessing...
A future. A family.
He’s hard. He’s dangerous. He’s filthy. Yet, somehow, he’s exactly what I crave.
Now I just need to make him see me for what I am - his queen. If he’ll have me...this is Brennan O'Donnelly's story.

Okay, back to the book… this is Brennan & Camille’s story. It checks all the boxes… mafia, arranged marriage, spice (but for the real smut lovers, this is about 2.5/5 on spice level and it was a tad disappointing there because the book has literal filthy sex as the title… there were expectations.) there’s suspense, drama… all the things we’ve come to expect from Serena Akeroyd…
If you are on a roll on these books, Brennan’s story is not to be missed… I loved Camille. She wasn’t your usual dumb FMC pretending to be something else, she did have self preservation 🙂 thank heavens!!! She was so level headed that made the book soooooooooo much better… there was mo stupid conflict, there wasn’t any of the annoying habits that most in these books seem to have… it was sooooooo gooood!!
I personally appreciated that.
I know I’m not saying much about the story, that’s by design.,, is it worth it? YES!!!! Worth the credit! Heck but it if you don’t have the credit… I’m on my way to get the physical copy…
YES!!! Is all I can say…It’s not to be missed….

Brennan is the fixer in his family's Irish mob, capable, strong, and honorable. He picks up the slack when no one else does, and though he doesn't love his job, he's good at it. He loves his crew and is loyal to them, enjoys his independence, but a promise from a long time ago resurfaces and Brennan never breaks a vow. Camille is Bratva born, a princess who was desperate to escape a fate like her mother's but is ravaged by the regret at leaving her younger sisters behind and racked with insecurities from a life where women were only viewed as disposable commodities.
Serena Akeroyd did such a great job of crafting these imperfect but relatable characters, ones who struggle to grow and change through the story, revealing their insecurities and challenges but also their strength and resiliency. I love that Brennan is such a steadfast pillar of strength for those around him and is so loyal to the family, but I LOVE that he has such power in him to finally make a CHOICE about marrying the woman he wants and protecting his own family. I love that he doesn't care about his woman's past or judge her, but instead he's intuitive and listens to her reasoning. For her part, I love that Camille also exercises her own agency. Leaving home is always hard, but when your safety and freedom is at stake, it solidifies your decision to do whatever's necessary. Camille's so young, but had to carry so much on her fragile shoulder, and I love her growth through this story. She is adaptable, capable, so incredibly classy and elegant, a true Queen.
I just thoroughly enjoyed this story, and the rich background details added depth and details to the character's past and thoughts. The audio is amazing, and you will love these narrators!
Love Brennan and Cammie!
