About this listen

Hadley Jacobs is over Machlan Gibson.

Sure, she’ll always be a little weak to the dimple in his right cheek and the way his five o’clock shadow makes him ruggedly handsome. But that’s not enough to cover every other thing about him because they all drive her nuts. Like how he won’t admit he’s wrong even when he knows it and how he drives his stupid car a million miles an hour on wet asphalt. As she rolls back into town and takes a seat at Crave, she won’t take the bait. She’s over him. Mostly.

Machlan isn’t over her.

It’s not because he hasn’t tried. He reminds himself over and over that she’s not the girl for him. After all, she drives him insane with her sassy attitude and the way she calls him out on everything. She beats him at poker, even though she doesn’t know the difference between a straight and a flush, and when she looks at him with her bright, blue eyes, it’s unnerving. When she climbs onto that bar stool and orders a drink, he puts it in front of her and ignores the sparkle in her eyes. He’s not over her, but she won’t know that.

But she does know that. And he knows she’s not as over him as she’s pretending to be. When life forces their hand this time, there’s more on the line than a pile of poker chips. It’s their forever.

Crave is a second-chance standalone romance in a new small-town, blue-collar series from USA Today best-selling author Adriana Locke. Join listeners everywhere as they fall in love with the delicious Gibson Boys.

All the love

This book has it all! I laughed, cried, and cheered them on. Adriana pulled out all the emotional guns for this one. The performances were spot on and brought it all to the surface. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Emotional second chance

This is a second chance story for Machlan and Hadley. This is a slow burn as you learn all the different layers of why they haven’t been together. It is complicated since their lives are very intertwined since Hadley’s brother, Cross, is Machlan’s best friend. This was a great emotional roller coaster with some humor thrown in. I love the Gibson family. Once again, Kai Kennicott and Wren Ross do a great job narrating.

MAC

I loved this book so much. This second chance romance hit the right spot. Learning to overcome past memories to learn from them and learn to live in the present. Learning to forgive and moving on. Ms. Locke knows how to weave a great loving story. I had moment when I sniffled a bit over some sweet moments. This is a must read and listen. Can't wait to read the books.

Great Read

Crave (The Gibson Boys #3) was another great read by Adriana Locke. Hadley comes back to town and is more determined then ever to prove to herself that she’s over Machlan. But Machlan has never gotten over her, although he’ll never tell her that. Life and fate intervene and forces them together. I loved reading Hadley and Machlan’s story and can’t wait to read more by Adriana Locke.

Love This One in Audio!

Dual narration is normally not my thing, but I love it with Adriana Locke’s stories, and I love these two narrators!

I have a "thing" for bartenders, so I have been looking forward to Machlan Gibson. We know him as the youngest of the Gibson boys, the owner of the local bar- Crave, and the quiet and moody one. What we don't know, until this story, is the heartbreakingly beautiful story of why Machlan is so quiet and moody, including the story of his relationship with Hadley.

Hadley comes back to town to tie up loose ends with her brother's best friend, and her childhood sweetheart, Machlan. Of course, things don't go as planned for Hadley. It's fun to watch the banter and passion between the two as they both, in their own way, try to deal with the past and present feelings.

With each of these stories, we get amazing relationships with family and friends. I love how they are all intertwined. You get an amazing setting that makes you feel in the scene with the characters. This is one of Adriana Locke's better stories, and I highly recommend it, as well as the series.

I Love This Second Chance Romance!

I love second chance romances and Crave is now one of my favorites! Crave had me on a roller coaster of emotions from the very first page. Hadley wants to move on with her life after her heartbreaking split with Machlan. She is back in town to learn to hate him. But when she faces him at the bar, old feelings come back and her plans fall apart. Machlan wants to protect her from him and tries to push her away even as he holds on tight. Machlan and Hadley have been in love since their early teens. They know each other better than they know themselves. We slowly learn the truth about what happened to their relationship, and it is so heartbreaking. As they navigate around each other, they learn more about each other and who they are now. Their love is undeniable and their chemistry is even more explosive. Machlan could be so stubborn and frustrating at times, but Hadley is just as headstrong. Peck is the mediator at times and is so sweet and hilarious. The whole Gibson family is essential to the story. Their fun sibling banter and unconditional support made this story even more emotional, heartwarming, and fun! I really loved the ending of this story, because Machlan was so totally swoony!
The duet narration by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott is flawless as they perform with such passion while capturing the light, homey feel. Their chemistry, as they play off each other, gives this story so much heart and makes it even steamier. They really helped to make these characters, and this story, come alive.
I can't get enough of these Gibson Boys and the women who love them! Peck played a large part in this book and I can't wait for his story next.... I hope!
